Linkin Park donates proceeds from six shows to charity

Linkin Park has decided to donate the proceeds from six shows on their current Meteora world tour to six different charities. Although not all the dates or charities have been decided yet, guitarist Brad Delson explained that the band just wants to give something back. "Each of the guys will choose a charity, or charities, to give the money to. I actually work with UCLA, doing scholarships for inner city kids that wouldn't be able to pay to go to school. And I went to UCLA, so that's something that's close to my heart. It's just amazing to be in a position where we can work with the community and give back."

The next single from Linkin Park's platinum-plus second album, Meteora, is called "Lying From You."

The band's North American tour, which also features P.O.D., Hoobastank, and Story Of The Year, pulls into the Palace Of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, tonight, and the Allstate Arena right here in Rosemont, Illinois, on Thursday.

Do they mean the single after Breaking The Habit? I haven't heard anything about Lying From You being released, but I hope it's true. But that would mean there would be five North American singles...

 

If it's official, I think thats really awesome. Theres nothing like a band that cares for their fans, writes awesome music, and even gives back to charity. Wowies. And I wanted BTH to be a single!! That would be awesome!! But hey LFY is a great song too.

 

I wanted Figure.09 as the next single :wth:

 

This has to be the next single. Look back at all the tours they've done the past year. Breaking The Habit was nowhere to be found until a month or so ago, Lying From You was there all along. I still have no reason to buy the CD single if this is true, Lying From You was on Live In Texas and will probably be track 2 of the single. More b-sides we've already heard .

No, this means BTH is NOT the single, Lying From You is.

 

It sounds like "Lying From You" will probably be the next single but let's not rule out the possibility of BTH or any other song. I mean..anything is possible at this point.

 

This is interesting... I wonder how well Lying From You would do as a single. Consdering that because of the openning riff and the bridge, it's not going to get played or Kiss or any stations like that.
