Sadly, I agree with you. Rabid Dog wasn't a very good episode. This is why I keep saying that I hope Tohajiilee will be good. If this next episode is just like Rabid Dog or the last 3 episodes before it, I actually can pretty much confirm (at least in my mind) that the ending isn't how I envisioned it. I actually didn't think the ending would be like this at all. I thought it was all going to happen very fast, like the minute Hank walked out of the bathroom, he wouldn't tell Walt he knew, but right after, Walt would find out that Hank who and he would tie up all possible lose ends and get the hell out of New Mexico. The opposite happened. Essentially, Hank, Marie and Gomez all know that Walt is Heisenberg, but they can't do much about it. I get that. But it shouldn't have taken 4 episodes for that to happen. Jesse ratting out Walt wasn't what I expected. I don't think Jesse as a character would ever do that, to me, that just felt very forced by the writers. I thought Jesse either was going to die or go on the run himself, not just drag on, depressed and high, and siding with Hank.

But honestly, I don't think we will ever see Walt in New Hampshire at all. It sucks. I thought Walt going on the run to a place like New Hampshire would be absolutely epic, it would have made a GREAT part of the ending. Sadly, I think Walt will just acquire a New Hampshire license and license plates somehow, so people think he is from New Hampshire. Kind of lame. I have a feeling the title ''Granite State'' for the second to last episode is just referring to the Denny's scene/Blood Money intro, not Walt actually being in New Hampshire or something happening in New Hampshire. Basically, I think the show will just end with Walt dying of cancer, without his family and all of this will have been for nothing (in Walt's situation). As cheesy as that sounds, I think the moral of the entire show will be ''people make bad choices, and bad choices come with consequences''. Blah. I mean, we only have 4 episodes left of the ENTIRE show and not one single ''main'' character has died yet. By main characters, I mean Walt, Skyler, Walter Jr & Holly, Hank, Marie and Jesse. That's insane. This is why I feel like none of them will die, and Walt will be the only bad guy in the end who suffers, while the rest get away scott free because ''Walt is a bad person who manipulates people and makes meth and kills people''. So lame.

This is what RJ Mitte said to GQ: "Oh, you haven't seen anything yet," Mitte said in reference to the first four episodes, adding -- when asked about his death -- that it was certainly plausible. "A lot could happen in four episodes," he teased.

    I'm still hopeful.

I don't doubt these last 4 episodes will be great. And when they are, I'll probably come to appreciate Buried and Rabid Dog more than I do already.

Also, Zach, I think some of your fears will be addressed. I think Walt really does get sent to New Hampshire, although we may not see a ton of him actually living there.

I'm still not sure on how people are coming to the conclusion that Rabid Dog was a "bad" episode.

It wasn't bad. We were so hyped with the ending of the episode before, and then we end up with a lackluster attempt of Jesse working with Hank. Jesse's whole "GOTCHA!" moment with Walt seemed stupid, but I hope there's more to it.

Basically everyone is being stupid besides Walt and I hope he wastes all of them.

Let me get this fucking straight... if Hank and Gomie are inevitably getting raped by a shit-ton of bullets, then how in God's name could Walt have his house spray-painted "Heisenberg" on it? Makes absolutely 0 sense. If Hank and Gomez die, then there's not a single person but Jesse to tell the world who Walt is, and I doubt the world would believe a junkie!

Damn. Fantastic episode. Exactly what I was waiting for. Definitely kick started the end in gear for sure. I won't write a super long post about how awesome this episode is, but just wow. This also might piss some people off, but I actually am happy that Todd and his uncles came back after all. It would have been the worst ending ever, Walt arrested and in prison, dying of cancer, without his money, etc. But a lot of people here are saying Hank and Gomez may live, they very well could. However, something is going to set Walt free. He is going to escape somehow, or else there wouldn't be 3 episodes left, as well as the two clips from Live Free Or Die and Blood Money. Whether Hank and Gomez are seriously injured or they die, Walt will probably be leaving New Mexico VERY SOON because this is a major spin on the story here. I'm not sure if Jesse could have been killed in the crossfire, it never really showed him thoughout the shoot out, but Jack did have his eye on Jesse before he started shooting, and they directly made you realize that in the scene. I can't wait until next week....

Well ... holy motherfucking fuck. That was fucking phenomenal. I got shivers when Walt caught the two cars pull up, I knew what was going down.

Someone has to die here. When like, one trillion bullets are being shot a second, someone is bound to hit someone. Surely it's not that hard to aim.

Calm down. You are jumping to conclusions. No point in writing everything off without actually seeing how things unfold.\

    -

HOLY FUCK THAT WAS INTENSE AS FUCK!!! The last 15 minutes had me on the edge of my seat... had a similar experience with the episode Dead Freight. Looks like Hank's gonna bite it. He even called Marie to say "I love you"... it's over for Hank. *//

I have a feeling Hank and Gomez didn't get hit in that crossfire. Perhaps just one big distraction so that Jack can gun Jesse down.

I feel like they are missing the mark this season. That whole shootout was outrageous. Gomez and Hank would have been dead within seconds. Todd's team can take out Declan's bunch of men but can't hit 2 sitting ducks out in the open?

The story is still progressing way too slowly. Again, we already know Walt won't get caught. We don't need 5 episodes of them going through the motions. We know Walt escapes. Give us the important bits and move this thing along. I haven't seen a story that was worthy of being stretched 5 episodes.

The mystery at this point is what happens to everyone else but Walt. I'm fine with the pacing.

I loved the episode, but I am going to nitpick something: the "cliffhanger" ending.

There are 3 episodes left. Clearly, Walt is not ending up in handcuffs at this point. And the only way he gets out of being arrested at this point is if Hank and Gomie are both killed/horribly injured beyond communication. So why end it before they get shot? Why save that until the opening of the next episode when we can't help but already know the outcome?

I felt a similar way about the Confessions "cliffhanger." These endings aren't particularly clever if you already know what general direction things are going to go in. We knew the house wasn't burned down. We know Walt isn't getting arrested. I think they tipped their hands a bit too much with the flash forwards, to the point where these cliffhangers don't have as much impact as they could. Of course I'll totally retract this nitpick if somehow Hank makes it out alive. But that is not going to happen.

Now with all that said, I loved this episode. Walt is not the master schemer we sometimes like to think he is, and someone recently pointed out that he is actually more of a fantastic improviser than he is a planner. Walt has always been able to improvise and manipulate Hank and Jesse individually, but they were always smarter than they seemed. Now that they've teamed up, they were able to take Walt down using his impulsiveness, ego, and greed against him. I'm also happy to see Jack's gang emerging as their own faction. Ozymandias looks to be an amazing episode.

That's what I'm saying. These flash forwards took away all the suspense. It makes the story less impactful because we know the outcome. They have these cliffhangers that rely on us not knowing the future. If we never saw any flash forwards, this story would seem really amazing I imagine. We already pretty much know the details thanks to the flash forwards. Whenever there's a tight situation, we know the outcome. We knew Hank and Gomez were going to get ganged up on at the end before it happened. We knew Walt was going to get out alive and free. We knew Jesse couldn't possibly burn down Walt's house. We knew Hank and Jesse couldn't possibly catch Walt. So this entire story of the last 5 episodes doesn't have me feeling the emotional high that I felt in other seasons. I don't feel much of anything.

Flash forwards only work when the future is so interesting or unlikely that it just blows our mind. Regardless of what we'd know in the future, we still wonder how the fuck it happened, because we frankly can't believe it really happens. LOST owns this aspect. With Breaking Bad, as soon as we saw the future, it became pretty evident what happened and there aren't a whole lot of surprising details to fill in. It's an incredibly believable future. It's like clockwork. We won't be surprised how (if) we catch up to the flash forward. This is why I keep saying they need to move the story along. Get through the meat of the story and catch us up to the future we saw. Then we'll start feeling the impact again.

Sorry for this long post, but I felt like I needed to post this. With only 3 episodes left of the series, I think this is how it will all go down.

Someone is going to die in this episode. Obviously. They didn't want you to know who died at the last minute of ''Tohajiilee''. My guess is Hank. There is only 3 episodes left of the entire series and Hank got what he wanted, to arrest Walt and read him his rights. The phone call with Marie seemed very 'final' as well. Not sure about Jesse, I think we may live. But I honestly can't see Hank surviving, and I think Gomez may die as well.

After Hank (and maybe Gomez) are killed, Walt will turn on Todd and his Uncle and the gang. Walt will be pissed that he called off the hit, and they still went and did it. He will be mad that they killed his brother in law and not even Jesse, who originally was the main target. He will refuse to do the cook. They will get pissed and come after Walt or his family. This is where Skyler is killed. The bacon thing in 'Live Free Or Die' hints it, and this is how I can see it happening. Marie will find out that Hank is dead, and she will know it was Walt's fault (at least she will blame Walt for it, even though he didn't want it). She knows because of the phonecall before Hank dies, that he caught Walt and had him in cuffs. She will tell the DEA this. They will want proof, and they will have proof when they are able to retrieve the phonecall from Marie's phone, plus a lot of other evidence at Hank's house, such as Jesse's tape he made, etc. Albuquerque will soon be on the lookout for Walter White, everyone will know who he is. No one can find him.

After Skyler is killed, Walt will flee New Mexico for a bunch of reasons. Saul will help him with the disappearing guy. Walt will give him almost what is left of his money that isn't buried to do so. Since Skyler is dead, someone will take Walter Jr and Holly. It may not be Marie since Hank is dead, but someone will take them. The house them becomes abandoned. No one buys the house and it gets vandalized. Marie will write HEISENBERG on the wall in orange paint, because she is furious and heartbroken about Hank's death. Walt assumes a new identity and life in New Hampshire.

After living alone in New Hampshire for quite some time, something calls Walt to return to Albuquerque. Possibly he feels bad about how everything went down and wants revenge on the Aryan's and Todd for killing his wife. He contacts Lawson, and purchases a M-60 machine gun from him in the Denny's parking lot (as seen in the opening for Season 5a). Walt then heads over to his old home, and retrieves the ricin. He sees his old neighbor, Carol, and she is shocked and drops her bag of oranges. Oranges symbolize death, they did in The Godfather. Death is coming. She will probably tell the police that she saw Walter White, they will start hunting for him, but Walt has already left the home. Walt will have a huge shootout with Todd and the Aryans, he may win the shootout. After the shootout, the police and DEA will know Walt has returned to Albuquerque.

Walt knows he will probably not be able to return to New Hampshire safely, and he doesn't have much time since he has stopped taking his chemo (as shown in the Blood Money intro and the Season 5a intro) before his cancer kills him. Walt will be alone, without his empire, without his wife, and he won't be able to give the kids his money because the government will have taken the drug money. Essentially, all of this was for nothing because he is going to die alone, without his family (Skyler and Hank are dead, and the kids can't be with him, he also has no money for them). Walt will either take the ricin himself, or he may kill someone else with it. I don't know. The moral of the series will be that everything was for nothing, and Walt will be the only one alive in the end, with nobody, and nothing left, slowly dying of cancer.

As for Jesse, I don't know what will happen to him at all. He may die in the gunfight during ''Tohajiilee'', but I don't know what will happen if he lives. Maybe Walt returns to kill the Aryan's, Todd and Lydia with the M-60, and saves the ricin for Jesse. I still think that using the ricin on Lydia would be perfect, because she ALWAYS is drinking weird tea's and stuff. This is just a general theory I have, this is probably 100% all wrong. The writers did say that main characters WILL die in the final episodes, so I say it's very likely that Hank will be dead from the shootout, and I think Skyler will die somehow, it's always been a big theory because of the arranging of the bacon in the intro to Season 5a. Walter Jr could also die as well, he could be killed with Skyler, but I don't think that will happen. As for Saul, I'm not really sure, I think he may flee New Mexico as well, I don't think he will play a huge part in the next 3 episodes besides getting the disappearing guy for Walt.

I also want to say one more thing. I think it will be insane if Hank does not die. I might actually be pissed off. It makes no sense for Hank to live the gunfight, seriously. Come on now. I've complained about the unrealistic stuff in BB on occasion, but this one just takes the cake if he lives. Walt obviously ends up getting free considering the flashfowards we have seen. So Hank won't be able to take him to prison after all. We know this for fact. If Hank lives, he will know who shot at him, Todd and his Uncle and everything. Walt won't be able to escape if Hank lives. I think Hank will die, and he should. It's not like I think Hank deserves to die, but there is only 3 episodes left of THE ENTIRE SERIES so main characters need to start dying to set in motion the ending, which is the White's house abandoned and vandalized, as well as Walt having the New Hampshire license and license plate and the full head of hair and beard. Some time has obviously passed in the span of 3 episodes, no? If Hank lives, I will be outraged and I think that would possibly ruin the ending for me. Fans and myself alike have always wondered those 3 mysteries, and I need to know how everything leads up to that point, I don't want to be left ''guessing'' after the show ends.

    Hank...

Hank's kiss of death was his goodbye to Marie. I mean.. come on... Hank has been completely fleshed out as a character and his goal was achieved. There's nothing left for Hank's character to do that Gomey couldn't, as far as trying to bring Walt in. That's nothing against Hank at all. He's been a great character, but he's had his run. Jack's gang killing Hank immediately causes a rift between Walt and the Neo-Nazis, one that probably justifies Walt purchasing a M-60.

Too many variables going on at the moment to try to predict anything. At this point I'm just sitting back and enjoying the ride.
