I'm kinda bored so here goes...

Here are some tips for you people who are new to remixing...

    1) Always listen to is as if there are other people listening to it. Make sure you are pretty sure that people will like it

    2) If you are joining two parts of a song, ALWAYS try your hardest to make is not noticible where the song cuts... There's nothing worse than listening to a choppy remix.

    3) Make it original, people listen to remixes to hear something different. Don't just mix song parts and call it quits. Make sure it's to the best of your ability.

    4) Don't let software do all the work. That's like cheating.

    5) Don't use random effects at random times... sounds like crap. Try to keep things consistent and with good pattern.

    6) Don't change 2 things and call it a remix. That's not a remix, it's a waste of time

    7) When you're mixing parts of songs with cut vocals, make sure the vocal parts dont have backround music that interferes with the music you are putting it over.

Yeah, I know these are brief and short, but I think this may help people that are new to remixing.

    Some progams to use:
    Acid Pro
    FL Studio
    Acoustica Mp3 Audio Mixer
    Virtual Dj and Atomix
    Ejay
    Traktor Dj Studio

there's tons more... Keep an eye out for them and happy remixing.

If you have any other tips, post them! But try not to turn this into a conversation, keep it to the point ;)

I have virtual DJ, and all that's good for that is scratching and adding effects. Find another program for putting different parts together. I think ACID is good for that.

THANK YOU!!! I've always wanted to post that... 90% of fan remixes are just that!! Except mine. Though no one's commented on them much *tear* But yes everyone needs to follow this guidelines. The one thing that effs up a fan mix for me more than anything is sketchy transitions... Jeez.
