A new LPTV episode has been uploaded to Linkin Park's official YouTube Channel. The episode shows Mike Shinoda painting a ten-foot guitar model at Ethos Gallery in Los Angeles as part of the lead-up to Linkin Park's headline show at Sunset Strip Music Festival in August. The finished piece, as seen in the video, depicts a "modern version" of the soldier character which was prominently featured in artwork from the "Hybrid Theory" era. As has been explained on Twitter, the guitar is going to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Music For Relief. Source: Linkin Park on YouTube
The remix by Money Mark which was released as part of the "Living Things Remixed" subscription in November last year.
Is that the one that insists on repeating "original style like an 808 drum" and "playing with the big guns only get you slain" or something like that over and over?
No, that would be DatsiK's drumstep rmx. Money Mark's version doesn't deviate from the original song so much; it uses all of the available vocals and there are no changes in structure.
Damn, I was hoping to get credit on this one. Awesome LPTV nonetheless. I love the remix that they used in the episode, and the guitar looks sick!
I only saw that you mentioned it in the shoutbox after I made the post - I came across the video while checking my YouTube subscriptions this morning Maybe you're just not a fan of the original song. I don't mind either remix myself, partly because "Breaks" is my favourite song on "Living Things".
Haha. I love the original song. I wasn't a big fan of the LT Remixed subscription... All of them. Lol
The remixes from the remix subscription sound better in the background of a video rather than the main attraction IMO. None of them are very interesting to listen to, but this UIB remix sounded good in this video. I liked the LPTV. Maybe it was a little short but still very cool to see Mike's creative/artistic process.
I personally think the LT Remix Subscriptions were terrible. The only one I liked really was the Roads Untraveled and Powerless remixes. They should have released 12 remixes, 1 for each song, and featured guests and stuff. Like Reanimation.
Haven't heard this one. Interesting remix. Most definitely hit-and-miss though, has some parts I enjoy and others I dislike.
