I would probably go crazy if it did! Ive never been a fan from the beginning of an album cycle. So I'm so pumped about a new album. Plus if they put the album out in winter (talk about best Christmas present ever ) they could swing through Dallas or Houston before it hits the summer heat!!! I'm just so pumped for new music. I bet money at least a single will be out before January 1, 2014. Also, I want to see an LP album blow up again kinda like HT. I know things like that don't matter to y'all but I think it'd be so so awesome.
I absolutely cannot wait! This is going to be awesome (I hope), I was only on this site when LT was coming out, I think everyone was going crazy. is that the usual? They keep saying they're doing something different, but won't give much details, so I'm excited about this.
The only new music I can realistically expect from LP in late 2013-early 2014 would have to be any "Mall" related music. In regards to that, I hope they do a song to promote it in addition to scoring it.
Another single from Stone Temple Pilots and an album announcement would be plausible. I also expect at least the release date by the end of the year for something from LP, be it The Mall Soundtrack or Album 6.
Not a chance. If they were to put an album by the end of this year at this point they would have to be mixing and mastering. I think.
Nothing by the end of 2013. I expect we'll be hearing something by Summer 2014 or perhaps a little after.
I highly doubt it'll be out this year, but that's okay. I really don't want LP to rush anything. If they've done their best (which they always do), and it's finished, then it doesn't matter when it comes out. However, releasing music fast for the sole purpose of getting it out there is not something I want them to get into the habit of doing. Be creative. Go bonkers. Do a nu-metal/electro/folk/hip-hop album. Mix every fucking genre together for all I care. Just ensuring that it's the best they can do is what's important to me. There's a ton of other great albums still coming out this year too. It'll make waiting easier. HAIL TO THE KING MOTHER FUCKERS!
But that didn't involve the 6 members of the band full time.. While Mike was working on TR, the other guys could've been working on the album on their own. I don't think it was mandatory for Mike to be present in every single studio session, right?
