Actually, I really do. I was a few years shy of being able to attend live shows, and very few of my friends actually enjoyed that kind of music. Moreover, I knew how to sing a majority of songs from bands like P.O.D, Slipknot, SOAD, Adema, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Finger Eleven, Deftones etc. Attending my first live Linkin Park show last September affirmed my suspicions as to just how much fun I would have had. It was a special time of childish lyrics and angry adolescence.
Damn, I need to post this here, since I don't really know where else I could post it, and that nu-metal-esque thread seems to fit. I just saw a video of LP performing in 2001, and damn weird surprise, Mike actually screamed during OSC bridge. I mean, real damn screams. I don't recall him doing so in any other LP show, that's amazing ahah. The fun begins at 22:10 (to 22:26) More on topic, I listened to those new Adema songs, and indeed, they aren't what I'd call brilliant. I'm gonna forget this and just remember their old material
In my opinion, Machine Head doing Nu Metal wasn't all that bad. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed everything else they did more, except for the crapfest called Supercharger. *cough*American High*cough* Fuckin' A!
The only thing I remember about Adema is the song 'Giving In' and that they have toured with LP in the past. I didn't think they were all that great.
I kind of agree. Aside from the few songs that had rapping and the production, musically, The Burning Red wasn't horrible. Their image makeover was absolutely comical, though. It was so contrived and was an obvious attempt to cater to the fans of other more popular (shitty) bands from that era.
Wonderful, another nu-metal thread on a Linkin Park board is exactly what we need. ("The Way You Like It" is Adema's best song)
what's in parenthesis would indicate that i'm being playful about the (true) statement that's above it
