Well, apparently Ellen DeGeneres made an announcement today regarding Finding Nemo's sequel. Here you go: [thumb]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/s480x480/72694_10151546329477240_979356421_n.jpg[/thumb] It's official. What do you think? Personally, I loved Finding Nemo. I am excited for this. Also, we all should have seen this coming. A fish with short term memory loss will most likely get lost.
Finding Nemo didn't really give off anything that would warrant a sequel. It might work, and since Finding Nemo is one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time, I would definitely go see it. Hopefully it lives up to it's predecessor.
It didn't but when you have children who want to see more of Nemo, they don't understand that they only made one movie.
Ugh, what complete shit. Pixar movies that sequels can work for: The Incredibles, Brave (I guess), Monsters Inc. (or in this case, a prequel), hell, even Wall-E. A Finding Nemo sequel is horribly unnecessary and the fact that the plot will focus around Dory makes it even worse. They've made a sequel before where the supporting character was made into the lead, and that resulted in Cars 2, which is widely considered to be Pixar's worst film. Not looking forward to this and it'll take a damn good effort to change my mind.
Good movie, not one of my favorite Pixar movies (Monsters Inc. and Cars are probably my favorites), but it should still be interesting.
As long as it's good, I have absolutely no qualms with a proposed sequel. Can't wait to see the crew again!
Pixar had Toy Story as a standalone series of sequels over the course of 16 years, then the abomination that is Cars 2 was released.
It's like every Pixar thread has to turn into sequel/prequel bashing. We're getting The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out and Lee Unkrich's untitled Día de los Muertos project as well as Monsters University and Finding Dory. We can have our cake and eat it too.
I'm all for Pixar making sequels, if the sequels are stories that need to be told. The Toy Story sequels were great. Cars 2? Not so much. I really don't think there are any stories in the Finding Nemo world that really need to be told.
I am excited as well, but I just hope they don't ruin it, only few sequels on Disney movies are actually good. And yes, it's fucking Dory, people.
