Linkin Park takes a momentary break from the official Soundwave Festival tonight and tomorrow night to participate in two festival sideshows appropriately dubbed "Sidewaves". Tonight's venue is the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia and features the Corey Taylor-fronted Stone Sour as an opening act. Fans are in for a real treat. This is Linkin Park's ninth performance in Sydney, the previous time being two nights ago during the second night of Soundwave Festival 2013. You can view a list of all past and future tour dates on the LPA Tour Map. Also, don't forget you can add videos and pictures to our tour page from any show you've attended. The setlists for the band's last two Australia shows have been fairly consistent. LP has played 37 songs, but only A Place For My Head, Papercut and VICTIMIZED were not played at both shows. Unless the band goes in an entirely different direction, fans should expect to hear some of Linkin Park's most popular singles (One Step Closer, In The End, Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Numb, Breaking The Habit, What I've Done, Bleed It Out, New Divide, Waiting For The End, BURN IT DOWN, LOST IN THE ECHO, CASTLE OF GLASS) in addition to some real moshers (With You, Points of Authority, Given Up) and a selection of the aforementioned three rotating songs. Do not treat this as gospel, however. The band has been known to keep a third setlist in their back pockets, so attendees may be in for a surprise! Will you be attending tonight's Sidewave show? Stone Sour opening for LP is like a fucking wet dream for me. Actually the wet dream would occur if Chester and Corey sang together...
I was too late and didn't get anywhere close to the mosh. Still had a way better time than I would've had in a seat, though Next time, Gadget, next time
I'm going to the Melbourne one tomorrow. VERY FUCKING EXCITED! Second concert I've ever been to, first was when I was dragged in to see Pink (Funhouse).
I take back every bad word I've ever said about the band. That was heavy, beautiful, arty, emotional and fun. That may be the best gig I've ever been to, including NIN, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc etc. Just phenomenal.
LPLive say there aren't DSPs for this tour. Are the band or label having issues with the venues again? Will the DSPs just suddenly become available one day like the 2007 ones did?
I certainly hope so Apparently they're being held back for 'special release'... whatever that means. They're seriously missing out on any opportunity of halfway decent sales by not releasing them now. If they pop up months/years down the track, it's only going to be select few who actually pay to download them Oh by the way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPpaG3dGKFw My recording of the entire performance
