I read that living things sold 1.6 million copies this year! I was just wondering if these numbers are correct? And how many has it sold in the United States? I just cant stop thinking about it I have to know!! but 1.6 mil isn't that bad
Living Things sold 542,000 copies in the U.S. this year (well, technically that figure is as of the week ending December 23rd, but close enough), making it the only rock album to break the 500k mark in 2012 (Bruce Springsteen's most recent album Wrecking Ball was second at 482,000).
For Linkin Park? A complete and total success. For rock music? That they only had one album that successful (and for it to only go gold, at that) is dreadful.
They can't sell as much as they used to because nobody sells that much now. Exception of Adele and Taylor Swift. (Facepalm at Taylor Swift selling more than a million in a week...)
