Alright, so. I absolutely love Halo. So much so that my everyday jacket is adorned with 3 medals that I won in a tournement during the release party for Halo 3 as well as the Sprit of Fire patch that I got with my special edition of Halo Wars. There are a few things about this video. First off, this is not the first video of yours that I watched, so my expectations might have been a little high considering the last 3 or 4 videos of yours that I watched were quite good. Anyways, now that I got that out of the way... The footage in the beginning, with the Infinity, does not mesh with the Forward Unto Dawn story. Yes, *SPOILER* Lasky becomes captain of the Infinity (during the events of Halo 4) and the Forward Undo Dawn series starts on the Infinity, with Lasky (of course after we see the struggle of Cortana trying to keep herself together). As the video progresses, you really dont tell a story on one side or another with Halo or Linkin Park. It feels like things were just thrown together just because. With the personal story with what happens in Forward Unto Dawn, I expected you to delve deep into the struggles that Astati squad deals with. Lasky dealing with his brother, The struggle of a leader within the group, the arrival of the Covenant and the struggles that brings, The sacrifices people make in the story. None of that really came out in the video. I'm really sorry that I am tearing the video apart, but, after seeing the other things you've done, I really think that you could do better. I'm not trying to get down on you here, because I am a fan of your work, I just want to give you some constructive feedback from a fanboy on both subjects.
I love halo as well!!! and thanks for the feed back my other videos i had a lot off footage to mess with this video i used all Trailers for the Series so i couldn't tell the story like i wanted as you can see trailers don't give you that much to work with but i really do like your feedback tho good or bad its ok with me i got more videos on my channel if you want to check them out!!!
Castle of Glass does with any epic video, doesn't it? Definitely should have smashed the Halo 4 (ordinary, or even legendary) ending at the end there, just for the fuck of it.
That's cool. I think it is great that you don't get upset and fly off the handle when someone gives criticism. There are some people that can't take what others have to say, especially if it is constructive critiques. I checked out and subscribed to your channel yesterday. You have a lot of good stuff in there. Also, on Hawk's point, the story of Cortana and John could have also fit the feeling of the song. Just sayin'.
