I know how you feel.. I've been coughing like shit for over a week. But it's finally getting better!

Just came back from voting. I put No More Sorrow on repeat on my mp3 while I was about to enter to the voting room and while I was in front of the machine, it totally pumped me up.

These have been 14 miserable years, and today is decisive, if he wins (cheating or not), it would be 20 years with the same president in charge. This must stop now.

Giving the online dating profile another chance after completely abandoning it. It feels so weird. I'm only 22 and I'm already on a dating site. It feels like I'm giving up on a more organic experience or something.

I am disappointed, frustrated, but I feel this calm in me that is really rare. I can be shocked at the results and feel discouraged when looking at the near future because I'm human and I have feelings, but deep inside me I know that my future lies on my own hands, not someone else's. So it'll be up to me to look for a way where I can move forward and make things better for myself and my family.

We feel that way because it's difficult to understand how someone who gathers this amount of people on each city he stepped in -spontaneously- could lose an election. People were motivated, and hopeful for a change, but obviously, other factors came into the picture. I'll leave this site here so anyone who is remotely interested in knowing who is the guy who lost. No need to read, just look at some pics.

So tomorrow we're back to the routine. A routine that started 14 years ago and will continue for the next 6 years. God bless us all. And sorry for bringing this theme so persistently these last few days.

 

You're handling it better than I would. I'm losing my shit over the guys running here in uhmericuh. That's not to say they're not shit bags but they're better than what you guys have. Which to my understanding (which isn't a lot really) you guys don't really have a choice due to cheating and tampering. So I'm impressed by your collectedness.

 

Why do you disapprove of Chavez? I am actually really interested. He is an interesting figure.

He's widely known in Latinamerica for giving away millions of dollars to finance projects for other governments or finance his "buddies" campaign. He gives away thousands of oil barrels to Cuba every day.

Condescendent with guerrilla crews, he was a close friend of Colombia's FARC #1 Raul Reyes, he publicly asked for another guerrilla army called ELN (colombian as well) to be recognized and it's known his government had allowed the settlement of ETA (Basque terrorist group) training camps INSIDE our country.

His allies are China, Iran, Russia, and of course his beloved Cuba.

He lost an election to make an ammendment to the Constitution which allowed indefinite reelection. He then forced the ammendment through what is called an "habilitante", which is a mechanism that allows the president to legislate in case of "emergency". Since the national assembly majority was on his feet, they didn't disapprove such abuse.

I can totally go on. But if this isn't enough for anyone to think this is horrible, I don't know what is.
