Yeah, it wasn't at all what I expected. I'm still trying to digest it all, but other than a few criticisms, I think it's quality.

    The Five-Year Engagement - 7/10

Some really, really funny stuff in spots. Story was decent.

    Moonrise Kingdom - 9/10

Really awesome all around. Pedobear also approves.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World - 7/10. If not for Edgar Wright's name attached as writer/director (really looking forward to World's End & Ant-Man) I wouldn't have watched it, the hipster/indie rock vibe is something that generally really annoys me, even though I know a lot of it in SPvW is piss taking. Michael Cera also greatly annoys me. The title character is a somewhat unlikeable, uninteresting twit, Ramona is a too-hip-for-everything bit-of-a-bitch (and there's no real reason for Scott to even like her let alone go to all that trouble for her), even Knives is kind of annoying. Despite all that though, it still somehow manages to be well put together, sharp and the special effects were great, so I had a bit of a love/hate thing going on with it.

    Children of Men - 8/10.
How I Spent My Summer Vacation - 6.5/10
    Haywire - 6/10.

Really looking forward to/want to see:

    Looper
Killing Them Softly. If you liked "The Assassination of Jesse James...", same writer/director - Andrew Dominik. Starring Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Ray Liota.
    Lawless
    Samsara

    Taken 2
Seven Psychopaths. If you liked "In Bruges", same writer/director - Martin McDonagh. Starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken.

    Skyfall
    The Hobbit
    Django Unchained

Really? You gave a film a 9/10 but will never watch it again? I can't fathom that. Especially for something as utterly rewatchable as The Avengers.

    The Adjustment Bureau - 7/10

There's some things that you really have to just accept in order to let the movie do its thing, but it was captivating. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Emily Blunt. I've seen 3 of her movies the last 3 days and she's really growing on me.

    Gulliver's Travels.. 5/10
It was funny, but very cliche and a bit too embarrassing for me at some points. It was okay!

    The Departed 7/10

Quite a good movie, with great performances by Leo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Wahlberg.

    Forrest Gump 6/10

    Overrated, if you ask me.

    The Fighter 10/10

Simply amazing. Especially Christian Bale's performance.

The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

I'll give it a 9 out of 10. Very original, funny, scary and freaky.

    Baby - 6.5/10

I can see how it can be a thought provoking tale, but it did nothing for me. Low budget, lackluster film with an extremely dull lead.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - 4/5 - Brilliant finish to the trilogy. The ending was just perfect. As a stand alone movie I'd say it has a lot of plotting... I'd have to rewatch it a couple of times. Style and tone-wise it is more like a comic book movie than TDK was (which btw is still the best of the 3).
