Add image to signature from PC

    How do I add a picture to my signature from my hard drive? When I click on IMG, it gives me an http:// for web sites

    You put it on your own host.

    So... I have to add it to a random site of just a picture, and then type in the address?

    you go to hosts such as:
    Villagephotos
    IOwnJoo
    PhotoBucket

    you sign up for an account, log in....upload the picture, and they'll give you a url link for the image, you copy, and paste it and use the [​IMG]

    how big can the picture be?

    I think the maximum width is like 500pxls and I am really not sure about the height....

    500px on forum :D . A too wide signature will stretch the forums.

    Well..damn. They pretty much covered it all for you. Just remember, when linking to an image..dont use the preview URL as that wont work. The site you are linking from will give you an exact link to use for signatures etc.

    .. why wont txt files work???? i use tripod, is there anyway of getting it using tripod?

    txt files are not images thats why. They are documents/txt files. You need to upload an image (JPG, JPEG, GIF etc) to a site like http://www.villagephotos.com if you wish to use any images in your signatures.

    Angelfire doesnt like direct linking.

    cause if i name the file .jpg it wont work, it will just say img hosted by tripod.... and usually if i change it to a txt file it will work... but i guess on this board it doesnt ...

    okay thanks ill try some other methods...

    I've direct-linked tons of pics i've uploaded on Angelfire (w00t)
