Adam Young of Owl City today released an unexpected remix of the Fort Minor track Where'd You Go. The remix features the original vocals of Mike Shinoda and Holly Brook (now known as Skylar Grey) with production from Adam Young. Check out the remix below along with what Adam had to say about it.

I really like this remix. Good to hear Owl City admire's Mike's work. Maybe Owl City is remixing a track from Living Things?

As I said in the shoutbox ... someone should have told him about the clean acappella since he objects to harsh language. ;P

I like this remix, the song is still light, and not worse than the original

There's a clean version where Mike raps alternate lyrics over the song instead of the explicit language.

He doesn't advocate crude language and therefore had to write out an entire diatribe about how he had no influence on writing the lyrics... Wow. Fuck that.

Wow I'm surprised. When I saw that it was Owl City I was like fuck this but this is actually really good. I like the energy in that beat. I don't mind that he wrote about how he was against crude language. It's something he believes in and he's got good reason. It doesn't matter that he's just being safe. And Owl City is actually from Minnesota

Maybe it's because I've never been a fan of their music... I don't know. His comments just seem like he put his music on a pedistal, thus himself as well. Like he's too good for it. I understand what he said about the message of the song, but, it's like he was saying this: "Yeah, here's the song. My music is better because I don't use naughty words in it. Just so you know, that's my music, but not my words. The bad words are bad, but the message is nice."

A big part of me here is screaming "Shut the fuck up, you self-righteous ass and say 'here is a remix of a Fort Minor song.'" No need to drag it out like he did.

To be fair, didn't Linkin Park used to pride themselves on not writing curses into their songs? I remember seeing an interview from around 2005 with Mike and Chester and Mike was talking about how he was cussing on Fort Minor like it was a big revelation.
