I always wonder what it would be like if LP made an EP, and thought it could be cool if they release one. If they were to make an EP in the future, I was thinking it would be cool if they release an EP next year with like 6 songs on it and then release an album 2 years after that or something. It would definitely be something new for the band in a sense (unless you count collision course). What would think about them making an EP?
I'd love an EP, but I'd like an album even more. Anyway, does anyone know what is going on with that greatest hits album? That should have a couple of new songs.
I always thought it would be badass if they did an Unplugged. They've shown they can with their live piano versions of some songs.
HTEP? I'm neither for nor against an EP. If they want to get new material out faster then EP's would be more appropriate than full albums, no need for padding. That's what Down are doing actually. A series of 4 EP's, each having it's own style & the artwork all tying together. Hopefully nothing. Unless LP want to get out of their record contract quicker, a GH it's totally pointless. Save new songs for full original releases, or just release them as singles a la Blackbirds, Not alone, etc.
They don't need to. They have the Underground CDs, where they can put whatever the hell they want on it. That greatest hits album isn't happening, Mike himself confirmed that that was a translation mistake.
Yeah, I feel stupid now. I forgot HT:EP when I created this thread. Anyways, that helped them to get started. It would be cool to do another EP now that they are famous
I wouldn't really mind if they released an EP, but in my case it would be a lot more convenient to have full albums instead, as I normally have to pay more for them because I order abroad. But for example, an EP released relatively quickly from LT would be really good xDDD ! But seems unlikely lol.
An EP could be possible.. maybe by next year (2013) .. Don't forget TF4.. maybe they could make another OST for that franchise...
But it could be possible for them to continue their streak on TF franchise.. i think it's alright for me to contribute another OST from LP not to be taken from LIVING THINGS album.
Why won't that franchise dieeeeeeee? Pretty much. Otherwise, if you got half an album, why not make it a whole one?
You could also ask that to anyone who releases an EP, there has to be a reason some bands/ artists do it. I think for LP it would be they want more time to create an album, but have some songs and would like to release some songs for the fans.
LP like to make albums that you can listen to front to back. I dont think they could achive the full effect in an EP. Nor do I think they would want to. Further more they have the LPU CD's. Sure it would be nice to get even more music, but i dont see that happening. Be greatful we have gotten unheard and new music every year basically since M2M released.
