This is a beat that I wrote a while back. I don't think I'll be writing any lyrics to it so I figured I'd post it up and see what everyone thinks. Lemme know what you like, don't like, really any feed back would be greatly appreciated. :chuck:

It sounds a little muddy to me. Things could maybe be cleared up a bit. Other than that, it's mixed great it sounds like. Nice song.

Thanks. Its surprising how well it came out considering it was exported directly from Reason. Listening to it now I think your dead on, it does sound a little muddy. I think the kick may be taking up a little to much of the bottom end due to a long decay. That's the impression I got anyway :p

I'm not really sure about that...
But I think it's good.

What did you use to make it? FL Studio?

I actually used Reason 5. Normally I export the stems from a beat and put them into pro tools, but this track is actually straight from reason.
Thanks for all the feedback everybody! It's extremely appreciated! :kicking:

Why don't you normally just render to wav or mp3 in Reason? Why go through the trouble of exporting the stems to Pro Tools and rendering there?

I really like the overall workflow of mixing in pro tools. If theres any thing I want to add outside of reason such as a synth or string library I can just record it into pro tools. I love being able to do just about what ever I want with a source signal using waves plugins. Im just addicted to the SSL emu's as well as the LA-2a,76 ect.

Ahhh, right. I forgot Reason can't use VSTs or 3rd party plugins. I've never liked Waves a whole lot. People seem to love them though.

reason 6.5 is implementing "Rack Extensions", basically plugin's tested and approved by propellerhead that are put directly into reason as a hardware rack module, if a few brands get on board it could turn out to be pretty awesome,, but only time will tell :p
