who here has got WinMX as there music downloader

i think its really good if youve got or thinkin king bout getting it its free

and tell me your opinion of it

 

I had it for awhile...and downloaded alot of songs...but it took up so much space on my puter I deleted them all, and then when the supeonas (sp?) came out for those other music downloaders I just got rid of the program.

 

I use WinMX. It's alright. I don't really like it that much but yet I still use it.

 

I like it. I found a lot of movies I couldn't find on Kazaa. There are a lot of songs not on it yet though.

 

I like WInmx, not as many viruses as Kazaa and the like and its extremely easy to use!

 

I like IRC. Its dangerous .

 

winmx is okay. irc is a pain in the ass.

 

I hate it becouse when I had it, it didnt work very well.

Yes I do use WinMX a lot, though I normally stick to the Open-nap protocol as you get rare files a lot easier. It can be hard to find the .WSX files sometimes, but it's fine after a bit. Right now I have a list of over 100 servers - but I'd recommend NecessaryEvil and Bunny-Nap.

The peer network is alright, since it allows multi-source downloading, but there aren't many rare files available.

 

I prefer IRC over any p2p. At least on IRC, you don't get hardly any fake files or virii. The people on IRC don't mess around, they know you want the files, and you get them. Of about 2gigs I downloaded off IRC only 1 file was messed.

Once you learn IRC, it's really easy. It shouldn't take too long either
