I know, I understand that, but he was close puzzles ago. I feel like Shinoda wouldn't have said he's 'close' if it was actually days away from having enough information to get anything out of this. There must be more.

 

Re the numbers pairing up; Ya I noticed that, too. If all first digits are paired up, then 16 can't be 0. 11 should be 2, and the only other place for a 2 is square 16.

 

I think we gotta focus on LIVING THINGS, as we thought of it before the last sqaure was posted... (This gave an "I" which fits in perfectly, so the theory seems to predict the numbers)

 

Oh god.... Can we please just focus on the numbers? Even if it's really Living Things, how does that give us the snippet?

we have to focus on the numbers IMO, not the letters, when they told us that we could solve this we had 5 letters and no pattern, how were we supposed to guess living things then? living things is this huge roadblock. FOCUS ON THE NUMBERS. thats what the tweet said. not what the numbers could mean, but the numbers themselves. the numbers are times!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I think you're right. Mainly because i remember seeing somewhere (idk if it was in the source code comments or what, i cant find it now) that this whole thing wouldn't work on mobile on mobile because the mobile browsers wont allow for multiple audio tags to be played at once. Someone had posted about it here but i cant find, too many pages. I seriously think your on to something.

 

we have to turn the numbers into letters... (anyways stl22 wouldn't be close), and this is the only option which gives something meaningful in a existing language. Moreover, the chance of the numbers given by the last square fitting in in the 'word', is logically only 1/26. So the chance quite big this is the right trace.

So I think we should look at this, whether we can find these words somewhere.

I tried my whole "secret decoder ring" idea and got almost nothing from it. I say almost nothing because G=1 gave me "ROBOTMZN_M__" which obviously is gibberish but I liked that the first five letters gave me ROBOT.

Anyway, dead end, back to reality.

I just joined, and am fairly oblivious to the coding the cipher data going around but I was thinking on how a random user who joined LPA THIS month was the closest to finding out information about solving the puzzle. stl22 seems like an odd username as well. Since everyone seems to be trying to put numbers 1-26 to corresponding letters, I thought I would give it a try. stl22 = 19 20 12 22 or 19 20 12 V

Could this mean something or am I crazy?

The 19 could mean something like maybe the 19th week of the year? 20 12 = 2012?

 

'Living Things' is the name of a punk rock band... I know it might be too far, but let's search their site

I'm pretty sure stl22 has nothing do to with the puzzles! He is just a really smart guy who figured out something!
