So, tonight is the season 2 premier, and my nerd boner is pitching a tent. I'm usually not super into the fantasy stuff, but this show is light on that and pretty damn gritty. Who else is excited? (By the way, remember to use invisible tags if you post any spoilers.)
The last half of last season was pretty underwhelming to me. The finale was great, though. I haven't read the books, but I hated how the premiere had those snow demons/monsters/spirits/whatever owning ass, like they were going to be a main focus in the season, and then we never see them again. It kinda led me into thinking it was going to be a heavy sci-fi, medieval story, when we mostly just got the medieval. Nonetheless, the story was awesome and there is more sci-fi to come this season, so the first season was pretty much just foreplay to get my balls nice and blue. Here's to hoping Emilia Clarke gets naked every episode.
I'm with you on the White Walkers. That was probably one of the most badass openings to any tv show that I can think of. Overall, when you consider the sheer amount of characters and back story the show had to establish, it's impressive what they accomplished in one season. And Emilia Clarke really is on another level.
Really into all the characters, so I'm not fussed on the lack of more fantasy elements. Though this season there will obviously be DRAGONS which rules. Anyway, really fucking excited, how long til it airs?
Kind of an annoying episode. It said a lot but didn't go anywhere. And it didn't give really any screen time to my favorite characters. Daenerys, Tyrion, and Arya barely got anything.
cersei slapping joffrey, robb v. jamie scene, little finger's MAD BURN and the king rob's bastards slaughter scene (especially the baby murder) kept me pretty happy. could have had more naked daenerys though.
Basically an episode for setting up the rest of the season. Pretty good. Joffrey is definitely in the running for biggest twat to ever be conceived.
This season if off to a really annoying start. The story hasn't advanced at all. The only real significance was the last few seconds of episode 2.
This season needs severe doses of Daenerys and Tyrion if it's going to waste time with so much dialogue.
I don't find Daenearys side of the story interesting at all at the moment, so I really don't care about her getting less screen time. Second episode was sick I thought.
Jon and Arya are the characters I'm the most attached to, but the scenes with Tyrion and Cersei have been some of my favorites thus far.
Daenearys side of the story is kinda on ice right now.. I mean nothing really happens except for a desert.... x) So yeah... We'll get more of her later (which is awesome because i love her and the dragons). I hate Cersei.... >.< BITCH.. it's her SON for christ sake, so what if he's king? Yell at him a bit <.<
Don't get me wrong, I don't root for Cersei, but I like that the writers are giving her character a little more depth beyond simply being a thunder cunt.
