I definitely prefer the album version a lot more but I don't really have a problem with the soundtrack edit :*
I prefer the original if we're talking about the studio versions, but I think that the remix sounds better than the original when played live.
That's a good point, actually. I recall thinking Shinoda sounded much better singing the opening verse with the drums underneath.
The only thing that made me vote for the original version was the gang chorus. Can't believe they chopped it in the TF3 version. But the mix in the remix is great, with drums underneath.
I like both versions, and I listen to both versions often, but if I had to choose one, I'd choose the original.
I actually really dislike the single version. The original version is a thousand times between in my opinion
Also, I find the original more fitting for the overall theme. The Transformers single seems more fast-paced, which sounds nice but it doesn't fit the theme as well as the original does, in my opinion.
Original. The album version is a terribly hamfisted and really over the top, but in just the right way to be completely convincing. The Transformers "poppier" version is as embarrassing as it gets.
The regular version of Iridescent was played after Numb and had The radiance as an intro when I saw LP live last January. It was the best part of the set. It was cool because the vibe made you feel cold and alone in a building full of people. Truely an indescribable moment.
I find the single version lacks any kind of emotional build-up, which IMO is the best element to Iridescent. Feels like just another crappy radio song. The original blows it outta the water!
