No opinion. With Wes they rocked, i really blowed my speakers. With Mike, my speakers are still blowing.. so they both rock
They are definoughtly two different styled guitarists People are saying mike fills wes' plays in the band, but as ive always said mike didnt fill wes' place, he made a new one
u have got a good point there Wes had his unforgetable stlye Mike comes along and he has his own so the band changed in the way they played. This shows that just one member change can change the way a band plays PROPA CRIMO TO Y'ALL
Mike is cool and all, but Wes Borland was just unique. They both write great music but Wes has way better stage presence..with the whole make-up, costumes, jumping around on stage and falling down for no reason..
Wes by a long shot.....He used seven-string guitars to create a heavy, unique sound; he was a very talented person who was the centrepiece of LB. I did in fact like Significant Other, and Wes's playing was a key factor. Mike strikes me as a HUGE rip-off of Adam Jones (Tool), especially like Jone's performance on Lateralus. He tries to create the atmosphere of Jones as well as the riffing and simple solo patterns, but although he is a fairly good guitarist, hes nothing special at all. There are much better guitarist with a lot more unique sound out there. Hell, Fred was even trying to copy Maynard on their last album....
can i say, mike is good live, but he screws up notes sometimes, but i suppose that can be forgivable, since there are loads he has to learn
Both suck ass, imo. But I'll go with Wes because he looks cooler, and he rawked on the Underworld Soundtrack. so Wes.
Wes, because: 1) HE made limpbizkit what they are today (along with Fred) 2) His stage appearence was enough to create an amazing atmosphere 3)In RMV, Mike is, like, trying to use the acoustic guitar as much as he can. In other words, just check the impact of Significant Other adn Chocolate starfish, copared to RMV.
