Actually they took out about an hour of film this time around, so were lookin at a good 4.5 hours on that dvd.
Heaven.
im going 2 see it tonight for the 1st time so i hope its gd!! bcos i really enjoyed the other 2 films *EDIT* just got back and really enjoyed it, i thought the end did drag on a little but was worth it because it explained all. prob one of the best movies ive ever seen. can't really think of my best bit but i love the fighting.
I just got back from seeing the movie. It was freakin AMAZING. WOW! It's sad that journey is now over. Lord Of The Rings ownz!
Heaven.
Oh wait, it gets even better. Im now reading that there is a possibility of the Extended Edition to be over 4 hours and 50 minutes!
Did I mention that there trying to get the rights to the Hobbit so they can make a movie out of that but J. R. Tolkens son doesnt want to give them the rights becoues he says they cant portray the movie in his vision of his dads vision or some crap but when they offer enough money to him he will sell the rights Iam sure of it.
Youre always sure of it, and think of it, Tolkiens family are multi-millionaires. They dont want to give up the Hobbit rights, and they wont. Simple as that. Trust me on this, if theres one thing I know in this world its Tolkien and LoTR.

Iam just saying that becouse I heard that the Tolkiens sons and who ever else are realy brats and stuff and that since their dad passed away they've been selling the rights of hunderds of his book about middle earth and all this crap. Iam pretty sure of things when it comes to movies. Iam sure down the road we will be seeing the Hobbit in theaters.
Anyway, in other news, RoTK (the theatrical version) will be coming out on dvd/vhs around the end of March next year, which is long before anyone expected.
Change of date, the new release date is May 25, and the Extended Edition should be out next November
Damn...oh well! It'll be worth the wait! I'm going to see it a million times in theatres anyway.
I thought it was an awesome movie which stirred a new obsession in me. I have Two Towers extended addition and watched it yesterday. Pippin cracks me up.
