Disturbed is fairly hard to play on guitar, you must be pretty good.

I've been playing since January, but I've gotten really good. At least past the stages of where I don't get blisters on my pointer and index finger and thumb. :p

lol, if you play guitar you probably use a pick, right? I play bass, bassists play with a pick or fingers or thumb (to strum the strings, or pop strings) so i would get blisters cause im using bare skin.

but you use a pick you will only get blisters on your neck hand, from moving up and down the neck. but you dont get blisters as badly that way as you do when using them to pluck string all the time.

though, some guitarists your fingernails or there thumbs to play,
    how do you play?

oh and i play ours at a time, when i pick up my bass i play for at least 2 hours, but usually i play 4-5 hours..

    Plectrum

Bassits can use them too. It works better too, well sometimes anyway. Its all about preference aint it. Some people play an acoustic with ther hand and others, like me, use a plectrum

    Yeah your right..

Well I had a fender, but it was my uncle's. and he had it since he was like my age, and was getting tore up. so now i have a no name. i have a Johnson RepTone 15b amp, a johnson cord and a fender strap along with Fender bass strings, but my E string popped so i have a "Fatties" on the E string at the moment.

    You?

Oh man!! I've seen those Gibson Goth Guitars!! They are sweet looking!!!

Well..are we the only ones that play instruments?? I really don't want this to get closed, I'm interested in seeing who else plays. But if we're it, it might as well be closed.

Where's Derek!? I know he plays bass.

This thread's awesome but try not to chitter-chatter. :)

    Instrument
    Vocals

    Songs
Any song I know the words to!

My voice is pretty unique, because I can sing to any band where I know the words to the songs (except Evanescence, lol) and sound pretty close to the lead singer. I can also keep up with Mike when I rap, and my voice matches his most of the time. Some people I can sound like are the dude from SES, Chaz of LP, David of Disturbed, Kris Roe of the Ataris, and Kevin of TRUSTco.

Well for vocals, I sing Evanscence songs when no one is around. I don't sound exactly like her but I come close at times.

I used to know how to play Payback on bass but I stopped playing so I forgot that.

I play the bass (converting it to a 12ver once I get the cash), but I don't know how to read tabs, so therefore, I don't know any songs.

I can teach you TAB. It's very easy, quite a bit more easy than music notation.

OK, on most tab sites (mxtabs.net; ultimate-guitar.com are what I use the most) the people who tab (or at least the ones who know how correctly) put the letter of the string (on a 4-string the default tuning is EADG) first. I will demonstrate

(This is an example of low-to-high tuning, meaning that the E string is actually the top string with the lowest sound on a bass, and the G string is the bottom string with the highest sound)
    G
    D
    A
    E

Now this doesn't have to be the letters there everytime. Example: Linkin Park play in Drop d tuning, meaning they tune down half a step from E.

So it would look like this:
    G
    D
    A
    D

It doesnt have to look like that either, but I'm not gonna go through every tuning you can have.

Anyways, after that, usually, they will have dashes, and in some places numbers.

    Ex:
This is Hit The Floor, I'm just putting the numbers where I think they go, so if you play my version it may not sound right because of timing, I'm doing this fast so I can call a friend.

    G----------------------------------------------
    D-------------------------------------------
    A------------------------------------------------------------
    D--0-4-0-1---1-1-0-----0-4-0-1--1-1-0 (thats the very beginning)

Now, the number means the fret you hold down, so the "0" string is the open string, all that means is you hold down no fret at all, so you just pluck or strum the top D string. the "4" means the 4th fret or the note F#(f sharp). And so on so forth with the other numbers

The "----" between each number represents how many beats there are, but most people don't do the beats correctly.

Anyways, there's the gist of it. Hopefully I don't get in trouble for going off topic, Will already said don't chat.

Oh and I just learned Decorated by Crazy Town a few mins ago. It's pretty hard...but not the hardest thing in the world.
