Have you heard of it? I have, and I only like one song off of it, not including the bonus song. He's getting too formulatic imo.
They aren't that bad at all. Just the same damn thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
This album is ACTUALLY really good in my opinion. I've realised that the songs sound pretty different from each other. Yes, there are the signature wobbles and stuff, but the moods of the songs are totally different. Unlike many other dubstep artists, skrillex really messed around with the tempo, and it's not exactly traditional dubstep.
Skrillex has never been traditional dubstep. The dubstep that has become popular was never the traditional one. As far as this EP goes, it's still just brostep. Shit like this has always been brostep and this hasn't changed at all. I'm not saying Skrillex makes bad music, far from it. But I can kinda see what somebody meant with his post.
skrillex was the first time I ever get in touch with dubstep music at all - so I cannot compare... but his tracks flashed me immediatly! the agressive wobbles and light melodies sounding pretty awesome together so I like it... will buy the new EP as soon as I got some money on my iTunes account^^
Lol before brostep everyone hated Benga and Skream - they somehow became more credible once Rusko started destroying the entire genre. If you're interested in earlier UK Dubstep, check out Vex'd, Boxcutter, Burial, Distance and Kryptic Minds. Dark atmosphere, deeeeep bass, shuffly hi hats are what makes something dubstep.
I got into Burial pretty heavily for awhile. Haven't really listened to dub for quite some time, though.
Skrillex @ Good Life 2012 So if there are any underage aussies here, you would know Skrillex is coming to Australia for Good Life 2012! And if anyone is planning to go, visit this site here: www.moshtix.com.au to purchase your ticket, and while buying enter this code where it says to - A566. This will save you $3, even though that isn't a shit load saved, it is still something. So feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks
Jordan, you made me listen to a Kryptic Minds album and I have never been into this kind of music before. And I think it's awesome! Not comparing them to Radiohead at all, but the experience while listening to them on headphones is similar.
