I think it would be neat to see a cd with no or less rap and no or less screaming in some of the songs. They dont have to scream to make a good song. But all in all, LP rocks
...No, I don't think so because the element of rap and heavy rock are part of the entire 'hybrid' of which LP has been made from. Without it, they are just not the band. Without certain elements to a band, you have no band. It's like saying that the band shouldn't use guitars in their songs--you need the guitars as much as you need both vocalist's styles of singing. Without rap, why have Mike Shinoda in the band? Without screaming, why have Chester Bennington in the band? I don't think they're up for being an acoustic band, so... what would LP be without the rapping and screaming? There would be no energy for a pit... I mean, seriously... Can you imagine a pit going crazy on a song like P5HNG ME AW*Y? It just doesn't work that way, is all I'm saying . It'd be funny though, "LINKIN PARK: COUNTRY STYLE LOVIN' (all tracks sang by Joe Hahn) featuring the Bluegrass version of Crawling!"
Hmmm... If you mean that some songs would be like My December and Breaking the Habit, it would be nice...but not more than three!!! *What does LMFAO means???
I don't see how that would be neat at all. Mike would be completely useless, besduies palying guitar and piano. Awful. -Randa
Rapping and screaming is part of their band...they would never release a CD with no trace of either element... LOL @ Duffster!
It would be cool I think, but not that great, but if you think Mike would be usless didn't you watch Live In Texas when they sang P5hng Me A*wy... Mike just sang amazing in it, so yeah thats what I thought
Emotionless: I don't think they would cause then like everyone else said, it wouldn't be LP. If you want songs like that, they do have them: My December, Breaking The Habit, Pushing Me Away, ...Mike doesn't actually rap in any of them, and Chester just kinda yells in BTH at the last chorus.
I don't think LP needs to change at all. The mixture of singing/rapping/screaming contributes to the definition of the band.
No rapping? No screaming? The screaming is what I LIVE for in their songs! And the rapping strings it all together to create a masterpiece of a song. No, rapping and especially screaming are a must. Yes, "My December" and "Breaking the Habit" are great songs but you gotta have songs like "Crawling" and "A Place For My Head" and "Papercut" and "Lying From You" to truly make Linkin Park.
i said no. i think that rapping and screaming ARE LINKIN PARK and they wouldnt stand out without them i think the songs like my december and breaking the habit are good and i luv them but there good a couple at a time A WHOLE CD i dont think it would work
Hmm... No Rap = No Mike, No Screaming = No Chester... ok LP is not gonna make an Instramental album ... why would you ask that?
