3. Added a tiny bit more nu-metal elements to ATS I've been a fan for a while, and I like A Thousand Suns, but let's be honest here; even the biggest LP fan has to admit that the direction they went with this album is what nobody expected until MTM (which is also an epic album), and many thought they were going the wrong direction. ATS is a masterpiece imo, even if it doesn't fit in with their old style. If only they had added more distorted guitars and maybe a little less piano and it'd be a little better, but many would probably consider the album "Meteora Pt. 2". 2. Play "Hit the Floor" more often at live shows They haven't played this live since the Meteora tour, and it would be amazing if they started off one of their newer tours with this AS AN OPENER. With an extended intro, it would be amazing, just like "No More Sorrow." Plus, it'd show the newer fans what the band was more like at the peak of their careers, and they'd be able to enjoy that kind of music, too. 1. Release "Part of Me" on the full Hybrid Theory album I don't even need a reason for this. Everyone knows this is an epic song The "demo" that they sent to Warner when they were trying to get a deal (which is actually a post-demo, because it was made after the EP) would have fit right in with the album's style. So, what do you think they should have done that they didn't? Reply below
Umm... No Dont get be wrong, I loved the genre, but I'd rather they'd have been a more "Progressive metal" rather than nu metal on ATS! A random rapping verse over a heavy guitar riff isn't exactly pushing new ground for them. Then again, Wretches & Kings is a great example of LP experimenting with the old nu-metal genre, but at the same time making it fresh. So if you mean, more songs like W&K i agree. To be honest, ANY song that hasn't been played live for a while I'd welcome with open arms. whether its HTF or High Voltage, I'd be please to see any brought back I not sure I agree with this. Part of Me is a magnificent song, and it should stay on the HTEP where it rightly belongs. I personally think the song would be too dark to be placed on HT and even if it was it would probably be watered down thanks to Don Gilmore, and lose the majic of the original. The EP it should and always remain
I totally agree with #3 now that you just mentioned that.. LP should seriously try PM. And the darkness of PoM just struck me too. haha
Even if it doesn't fit with their old style? I'd say especially because it doesn't fit. Whether it'd be "better" or not if it did is subjective, because fans who don't like "Meteora" (there are a lot of them) might find more reasons to dislike "A Thousand Suns" in that case. You've put down your own reasons why what they "should have done" might also cause problems similar to what problems you feel are present now. They really can't please everyone. I personally wanted the band to do whatever the hell they wanted to do, and that's pretty much what they did.
ok I have this all planned out. I win meet and greet tickets, seduce Chester and we run away to the italian country side. . . . . . .ok is getting a little creepy now. I'm taking this over to that LP fanfiction site XD. . . jk jk
