While not necessarily news in it's own right, Mike has taken to his blog to make a proposal to Apple and the other cellphone companies, about making cellphones safer for the users who depend on them every day for their daily communication. While the correlation between cellphones and cancer has not been 100% confirmed, due to the personal importance of this plea to Mike, we are passing it on in the hopes everyone can have a read. You can read the full post here.

Please pass this on via Facebook and Twitter, and feel free to give your own thoughts on the issue on our forums.

posting the same comment posted on his blog post

This is a recent study posted just about 10 days back
    http://mashable.com/2011/10/21/cellphones-cancer-study/

As you can see, the sample for this study was not some hundres but almost the poplulation of a country! I still agree with you better to be safe than sorry since all studies have some flaw here and there but here you find strong ‘evidence’ or however you wish to put it.

    Hope that helped.

It would be a nice feature to implement, I suppose. These things are about giving the people what they want, even though there's probably not anything to be frightened of to begin with.

Also, Mike always quotes me in responses to comments when I write the suckiest comments. Srsly. I can't do serious topics in 700 chars. I start saying the most worthless things because i can't express complicated, but true, concepts. next time I won't bother.

Anyway, he's basing his opinion off one source, the WHO. When the actual proper thing to do is build an opinion off several sources. Getting other opinions would reveal that it's not clear-cut dangerous. His "better safe than sorry" is a better stance to take, though.

EDIT: I also can't edit my posts. I have to eat whatever I type first, even if I immediately realize it's wrong.

Interesting, here's a fun and simple graphic. I think concern should be leveraged more towards airplane radiation and bananas rather than cell phones.

Or better yet, less concern. Live and be merry. Stay thirsty my friends

Don't turn this into an Apple versus Google thread, we all know Apple is better.
