Seems like it's going to be a great season. I saw the leaked premiere(it leaked about a week and a half ago) and it was really good imo. Seems Dexter is going to be tackling religion and the first episode had some excellent emotion on the subject. If the first episode is the thing to go by, then I'm a bit relieved since it seems it's not about him finding religion but trying to come to terms with the religious.

On the other hand, I'm a huge pessimist so I fear it'll turn into a show about him finding God or whatever, which I wouldn't like, I mean, I've read the books and their supernatural element is shit. The show is 1000x better without such things.

I'll wait till the whole season ends, then marathon that bitch! Doing the same with How I Met Your Mother, The Office and Community.

I'm about to watch it now. Last season was dead last in quality compared to other seasons, so here's to hoping they pick it up. The trailers have me very intrigued. Let's see if it can somehow top season 2 and 4.

Season 2 episode 2 is awesome.

I actually like the premiere more than all of season 5 together. Season 5 was pretty bad.

This season will be great for one reason: Edward James Olmos and Colin Hanks. Awesome team.

I needed something to cure the itch for more Breaking Bad, so I started watching Dexter a week ago. Wow, what a series. In review, Season 1 and 2 were an amazing watch. Though, the series seemed to slip off the wagon a bit in the third season; the Miquel Prado arc was sloppy. Fortunately, Season 4 turned out pretty well, and definitely left me shocked during the finale episode.

Dexter is a series that requires aggressive storytelling, but I cannot shake the fact that I will miss two of my favourite characters from the show. I'll definitely miss the characters of Doakes and Rita. Shame.

I'm currently on the third episode of Season 5.

Doakes is my all-time favorite character on the show.

This season is shaping up to be very good.

I don't like how they revealed who the villain is right at the beginning and how he's followed so closely. I've been skipping all of his scenes.

    Just finished Season 5.

    Very stale and underwhelming.

First of all: HOLY FUCKING HELL @ THE ENDING!

I thought Dexter had jumped the shark with season 5, but man this season was fucking great! The writers keep coming up with awesome twists and keep things interesting.

I really liked it, others do not. There are a lot of people disgusted at recent developments but as odd as it is, I find them interesting and good for the story.

I had struggled with myself when first starting to watch this series, because it's about a serial killer as the hero and we're suppose to sympathize with him. I believe killing to be the most wrong a person can do, so it was very had to actually watch but then I came to accept that it's a story and it's fiction and it's good fiction at that.

I am treating these new developments the same way, but it's easier to accept to a certain degree considering the biological nature of it all.

It's very strange yes, but it will probably add a lot of tension and drama and emotional conflict, which is just good tv.

Plus, it's very weird but a lot of shows have been doing the same kind of thing...

    SPOILERS FOR OTHER TV SHOWS

The subject comes up in Boardwalk empire
    and in game of thrones.

It's about time the story finally took this turn. Really good season, but not great. I'd say it's 3rd best. I don't think the writers can screw up next season with the wild card they finally played in the finale. Lots of entertaining ways they can take it from here.

^ Yep definitely. I wanna see how Deb reacts to it, now that she is actually in love with Dex. Either she will bust Dexter's cover or help him keep the secret /SPOILER

Agent O, there's two seasons left, it's obviously the latter.

I've been waiting for this to happen since the show started. About damn time.

I'm a die-hard Dexter-fan too! Can't wait for the next season, seriously. September 2012 is too far away. :p
