I loved Meteora and not just becouse I am a HARD CORE LP fan but becouse i think it was really good but thats just me
Seriously zerokun tell some1 who gives a ####, coz they r only sharing their opinion! i don't agree about what they r sayn but am i attackin them? coz man grow up u should hav realised by now evry1 is entitled 2 their opinion ! so chill out. i mean your entitled 2 ur own opinion, but how you have expressed it by callin them "freakin loosers" and the expression '"you guys JUST Suck" is'nt a very pleasant approach to your opinion being considered . A nicer approach would be ... eg) i personally think that the ppl that have said things against the songs of linkin park are in my opinion ppl into deep and obsessed with lp that they have become critics of lp's music and in need of regaining the touch and enjoyment of lp's music . ( well isnt that nicer zerokun ?)
Hey, hey now, his/her opinion was harsh, but remember, (s)he can think that way if he wants--we cannot tell him/her how to think. Take it dooown a notch, dude. I don't like what they said either, but let's try not to start anything, all right? All right .
you don't need to apologize will. i never wanted to criticize you about the guitar work, i just wanted to clear that up . the special thing about from the inside is the different bar. all linkin park songs are in 4/4 except for from the inside which is in 6/8. that might be the "complex" thing you meant. but let me show you an example. i'm not sure about these chords, but when i play them, they sound accurate to linkin park's meteora songs. (i might get the soongbook soon) Faint: Db||-0--3--8--5--7--3---------------- Ab||-0--3--8--5--7--3---------------- Db||-0--3--8--5--7--3---------------- (8)(8)(8)(3)(2)(3) these are the chords for the rhythm guitar which mike is playing in the chorus of that song, the octaves from brad aren't important now. the 3 lines are the first 3 bass-strings on the guitar. the number in brackets displays how often the chord is played before switching to the next one. let's go to... Figure.09: Db||-0--8--3--5--7------------------ Ab||-0--8--3--5--7------------------ Db||-0--8--3--5--7------------------ (4)(4)(4)(1)(1) the chorus of figure.09. im not absolutely sure if the numbers in () are right, but it sounds like this. but if you compare faint and figure.09 you see the similar chords. all of them are used in both songs (Db5 - 000, E5 - 333, F#5 - 555, G#5 - 777, A5 - 888. and to finally come to the topic of this post, here are the chorus chords for the rhythm guitar of from the inside. From The Inside: Db||-0--3--8--5--7------------------ Ab||-0--3--8--5--7------------------ Db||-0--3--8--5--7------------------ (?)(?)(?)(?)(?) the same chords again... compare with faint for example. though it doesn't sound the same. let me explain this. Faint: the rhythm guitar is so layed back to the background that it's almost a more distorted bass, well not that exaggereted, but you might know what i mean. and in addition you don't recognize the background (rhythm guitar) because brad's octaves are very loud at the foreground. they are kind of the main theme of this song. Figure.09: here you here the simple chords succesion. but chesters singing is so catchy that you concentrate on him. From The Inside: as it starts, you directly hear the main theme which leds through the whole song: this nice melody. but if you concentrate on the rhythm guitar, you here the chord succesion again. the chords might be a bit different than displayed above, but not much, and it won't let rise the complexity of the album. and one last thing: @lpfan05 in the end isn't like numb (chords). the only chord which is the same is F#5 - 555. if you wish, i list you the chords of both songs and you will see. by the way, in the end has a nice chord before the bridge...
At least, someone who can tell the difference between guitar and rythm guitar! I totally agree with you, especially at the "From the inside" riff. The main guitar riff is so simple, that's why i don't really "love" it...
I agree with you...at the beginning I loved Meteora but I must say that Hybrid Theory and ReAnimation are way better!! LP4EVER Ele
Good explanation! I've never noticed this...so pretty much, LP just copied the same chords from 3 songs..!? Thats...weird. Anyways, yeah I love Meteora..but Hybrid Theory was sooooo much better, and like Lorn said, It's been out since 2000 and I still listen to HT like 10 times a week compared to meteora 10 times a month. And Reanimation about 10 times a year...
Since I don't have the official booklet, I'm really not going say which it is but I'm pretty sure that this is the correct tab for Brad's part: Thus, it's a tad more complicated than anything else off of Meteora with the exception of Lying From You - but he uses the same thing in every song so it really doesn't count.
sorry for double posting * isnt sure how to add it on to last post * i just love LPA and when i saw them dissing Meteora i was like .... damn and when that guy said that thing about using it as a dog toy or something it set me off and i was already in a bad mood before seeing that so it added up again sorry :chemist:
