    Agreed, they've suffered enough.

Nothing too bad happening here, except lots of wind. It's fun though... I can go outside and feel like I'm soaring.

So apparently they're not evacuating Riker's Island, which means that if this storm is worse than expected, those people have been left to die. Wow. Criminals or not they still deserve human rights.

In my opinion, that's fucking outrageous. Good God.

    Wow. That's really awful.

Kind of feel guilty about me saying that there's no danger here when there is tons of danger elsewhere. Was just glad that I didn't have anything to worry about in this area but I really just hope that people stay safe where there is a lot of danger.

Edit: Ah. Apparently the news here just said there may be flooding, which is kind of weird since it is only drizzling.

SERIOUSLY? I agree with Ben and Jesse: criminals or not, they're still humans on this earth. They deserve to live too. Evacuate them!

I have friends and family in New York since I used to live there, and I have friends and family all over the East Coast, so it's a miracle that Irene so far is just a Category 1 hurricane. Still, I'm keeping them in my prayers.

We didn't get a tornado but we did have a wind shear come through here at 3am last night. Broke a tree apart in front of our yard and we have trees falling around us left and right. Lots of damage. Worst I've seen since I've lived here. Right now I have no electric, when I do I'll upload video.

Glad to see that you're ok at least. Also it looks like NYC got spared.

I'm going to be without power for close to a week, right now I'm typing this post from work. How frustrating. It's like my immediate area is the only place that got f-cked, and everybody else got away with no damage at all.

So would it be safe to say that Irene gave Derek a blow job? :quagmire:

Glad you're safe. Hope your power comes back soon.

What's worse is that she blew me and then took down my cellphone tower. So I have no cell service at my house, AND no power. Triflin' bitch. :kappa:

God I'm grateful and proud that I don't live in America a lot of the time... Mostly grateful.
