I've been drawing all my life, and a lil paiting just to play around. But this is the first actuall painting i've done. Thought i should show it off. Quite proud of it It started off as i wanted to mix both human/skeleton. Takin the Mike style to it, i tought the base for the human is Mike's face originally. The picture was first created with ''GIMP'' (Photoshop type of program) Where i found a picture of Mike, and a skull. Merged half of their faces together, havin it all show on a 42" TV screen. Then with pencils and some colors, i sat with this big canvas on my lap drawin the base. The off-coloring on the face and all is just a part of the charm. (And it was hard as ass to mix colors) Lots of the face has the wrong proportions (i know) but i intended to do so, cause all in all it was a painting. Many paintings have that touch of abstractness.. (Or.. i just suck at doin it right, ur call =p ) Gee.. I write alot, hope any of this made sence for you guys.. If not. Heh, thats cool too ^^, Feedback, critism, idolizing, hate are all welcome. Either if it got a good point, or just thrown in ''THIS SUCKS'' ~Duragon
I have to say it is quite impressive, especially for your first painting. The white outline around the face/skull makes it look a little weird. If you painted a background over it I think it would look a little better. Also the lines towards the bottom of the neck which look kind of like a collar, if they were thin it would look better.I'm not sure though I'm not great myself. By the way, what type of paint did you use? I hope I could help! Good luck!
Acrylic paint actually, i made the white lines on purpose. So i did with the collar... why? I have no idea.
well the white looks good around the skull half (probably because it fades out gradually), but it looks a little sloppy on the other half. and dang, acrylic. The teeth must have been hard. I can't paint that small so neatly with acrylics overall this piece is great.
