He snagged a couple of AMA's or more, I can't remember. And like 3 billboards i think. Linkin Park recieved 1 AMA and none for Billboards considering their success of 3 singles on the Modern Rock Chart and the explosive gross sales for 'Meteora'. Like they say, nothing's fair. Linkin Parks' making millions neways, screw the awards. Or mayb not?

All the talentless rap and pop artists will walk out of there with 5 awards in hand. Doesn't seem fair to all the extremley talented artists, LP being one of them, who are lucky to even be nominated.........for only one category

he isnt being whiney at all he is right and has every right when you have the top selling album the first LP u put out this album is much better than hybrid theory and should get the recognition it deserves

who cares about having no input on the song? who would want a few mintues of just beats as a nomination when u have a whole album of songs with words

Oh c'mon, everyone knows the only place Britney and J-Lo have talent is in the bedroom ;)

And yes, rap is my opinion, but I think a lot of people here would agree.

Yes rap indeed blows. Now on to backing up my opinion.

"Look nigga i done came up and i ain't change" -50 Cent

"Damn right the firemarshall wanna shut us down, move us out so someone can try to gun us down." -Ludacris

50 has an elementary education, and ludacris rhymes down with down, as well as life with life, and in with in. Both morons.

Yea alot of people here would agree because this site has mostly rockers on it who only like rock and what not. I think 50 Cent is going to win every award hes nominated for and he deserves it :D yes he deserves it because he is very tallented and thats my opinion. RX8LP I have no idea if you being sarcastic of if you really like my sig

Ok, on the other hand, go Evanescence!! I have both of LP and Eva's cd. If you're in the hype mood, pop LP in. If you're in that gloomy mood, Eva will make your skin crawl.

Chester doesn't sound whiney, i agree with him. LP deserved more nominations, seriously! though yeah, he shouldn't have said that he'd rather have no nomination than the one they got, that wasn't so nice. and i really don't like the Grammy's, i've never liked the nominations cuz' i feel some of the better songs/artists/vids don't get nominated. oh well, itz just my opinion. :(

I have to agree with Chester (and pretty much everyone else), I think it's shocking that LP only got nominated once. Particularly since this has hardly been a vintage year for music has it? I know some people think Meteora doesn't measure up to Hybrid Theory but I think the opposite, particuarly since its the second album that every one thought would prove to be the downfall of LP. On it's own, it's a terrific record and compared to some of the other offerings in the rockworld this year,in my eyes it's right up there as the best of the year. I don't get the vibe he's complaining about only 'Session' getting nominated because he didn't have any input in it, I think he's complaining because he felt they deserved more than that. It feels like a token nomination because you know, they couldn't NOT nominate Linkin Park in year in which they've dominated rock.

And just because I've had it up to my eyeballs with 'Half a dollar', I must admit to being horrendously disapppointed with the Grammys this year. You just know he's gonna walk away with the most gongs on the night and it couldn't be more predictable. I like rap but it's becoming harder and harder to find rap artists that are doing it for the music these days. Which is why I love Reanimation and the guest artists on there. But that's for a different thread.

I don't listen to rap, I hate 50 cent yeah. But people like Ludacris I think are talented in a way, including Missy Elliot. They have awsome, and very induvidual videos which I like. I'm not too interested in thier rapping. But I still have to admit, they put some hard work into their videos, and they have a terrific outcome. So, sorry about that back on subject....

I agree with chester and even question the academy because it seems like they were influenced by society. I mean look at all the nominations beyonce got (and she doesn't even sing good). Also look at all the nomanies under rock, half those albums suck and the artists don't even show their musical influence. Chester can at least brag at being one of the top three artist to have huge album release sales in the first week.

Man this sux, I don’t hate rap, rap like all other music genres are hard to do and different, well, hard to do well, rap can be good, but has too many artists dragging it down!!! 50 cent is one of the top ones, he can’t rap and slurs every word, "hey shorty, it's yur birfday, and we gonna party like itsss yur birfday" pathetic! Why is he so popular? Why? please seriously, tell me, what do people see in him, I really want to know, besides good muscles  any way I look at the Grammies like I look at the Oscars, my favorite never wins because the old guys wont let it, Lord of the Rings Two Towers didn’t win best picture, and it should have, 2 years ago poor Russell Crow was robed by not getting best actor, I saw both "a Beautiful Mind" and "training Day" and Russell was the better man by far.

They just wanted two black actors to win, so every one else got scraped. Allot like the grammas, does LP win most of the viewer choice awards like MTV and so on, yes, will they for Grammies, no, just how it works.

    *gears up to be attacked*

I'm going to put this plain. I am very dissappointed in Chester's comments. I don't care if he thinks his band should have been nominated for more or not. Its NOT HIS DECISION! No one cares whether he thinks this album is better, its up to the people and the networks. If he doesn't like it tough ####. I'm not saying I don't think that Linkin Park's music is better than nearly everyone else that was nominated, but my opinion is not the only one that counts. Chester's opinion doesn't matter any more than anyone elses, and its clear that he thinks it does. I've tried to defend Linkin Park when some say they are too cocky, I'm not sure I can do that anymore. I will always like their music, but this has not improved my opinion of the band. They had a very successful first album, but it sure as hell doesn't give them the right to female dog when other bands attain the success that they had, nor does it make them any 'better' than any other band or common person on the street.

Flame me as you wish. But this is bullshit.
