Yeah, it's pretty simple. Every review I've read for this album has comments chastising the writers for being biased against the band or just not "getting it." What's there to get? It's Limp Bizkit! There's no depth, no unorthodox compositions to wrap your head around. It's just one shitty song after another. "Oh, you take music too seriously!" No, I like fun music, too. Limp Bizkit just blows.
The BBC summed up my thoughts on Limp Bizkit: "With the exception of the always inventive playing of guitarist Wes Borland, here Limp Bizkit sound like a band whose time has passed".
it's a good album. for me it's like they forget about Results May Vary and The Unquestionable Truth and they continuing from Chocolate Starfish. i don't like them as a band tho, Fred's attitude it's just... bad.
I can't really judge this album as a whole 'cause I've only listened to 3 songs from it, as far as LB go though, they've got some really good songs in my opinion (It'll Be Okay, Rearranged and whatever else), but I assume they have stagnated. The interesting thing is that people are going on about how they've stayed the same style and whatever else, but that's complete bullshit, The Unquestionable Truth Part 1 was a change in style; they decided to try and be RATM, but, due that flopped, so understandably they've returned to the style that made them popular in the first place. If LP's switch to their "newer" styling had fallen flat on it's face them I'm pretty sure they'd have done the same.
i wanted to like this album so much.. i wanted a nu metal album in 2011.. but... this is.... just..... not good.
This album is too corny. There's a difference between having fun and just being obnoxiously corny. I have to admit, when the beat for Bring It Back kicked in, I was surprised as fuck. It sounded great. Then Fred Durst opened his mouth and killed the mood with his corny bullshit. I listened to some other songs, same feeling. It's just too corny.
