It's not BAD... but it just sounds so out dated. I enjoyed this kind of music when I was a teen. I'm not feeling it but Walking Away is decent.

I was a fan when I was little, just because I grew out of it though doesn't mean I don't like a blast from the past. Sadly though, most of the new stuff is just that for me, hahaha. I like how they got their point across in the video though, they beefed up all the typical stuff, a ridiculous intro, a parody on the "Rollin'" dance, to say they're just going to keep doing what they love and what makes them happy which is making their dedicated fans happy and playing music.

I look at the gold cobra video and can't help but laugh.

LB is so cliche it's pathetic.

Well, you're right there. As musicians; Wes Borland destroys Brad Delson, Sam Rivers destroys Phoenix, John Otto destroys Rob Bourdon ... those are facts. And I think DJ Lethal is more creative than Mr.Hahn. Fred Durst may not be the best singer, but he's a GREAT frontman, and LB would have never been successful without him.

I don't get why everyone focuses so much on the lyrics. Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit about the lyrics in any band? For me, it's all about the music.

I could at least nod my head and go through the first half, but the last few tracks are simply unbearable. To even remotely enjoy this album you'd have to look past a lot of things you usually wouldn't look past.

Nothing wrong with being all about the music, but for me lyrics play a role.

Almost anyone can pick up an instrument and play to the best of their abilities, but not everyone can write solid lyrics with some type of meaning that goes beyond a vulgar fck you to society.

Yet, Gold Cobra is the outcome of that talent.

It just means that talent goes beyond finger skills.

I don't like it. I'm not saying that as someone who can't listen to music just from the sake of having fun, or as someone with a bias against them. It's just not a particularly good song in my opinion.

The difference is Limp Bizkit makes some pretty crappy music. With the exception of Meteora, Linkin Park does not.

Sure, the members of LB are talented. Doesn't mean shit if they don't DO anything with it. Take Wes Borland. Instead of sticking to his creatively interesting and successful band Black Light Burns, he jumped on the LB cashwagon.

Disagree. There's a lot of making of videos where you see Brad doing some ungodly shit, I remember one from the ATS sessions where he's running through some fucking obscure scales at John Petrucci-like pace. And I think Rob is really underrated for some reason, he's quite interesting compared to most rock drummers.

But yeah, Sam Rivers is fucking awesome.

I like the video ... that's it xD.

And to be more specific, I like the feminine side of the video ... yeah, LB video and it's the girls that I like, how far can music go.

That's all well and good ;D but it's just that Limp Bizkit don't regard their new music as a dose of nostalgia; they think it sounds fresh and current ;P

Um... no? The only thing they've ever said about this album is that they're knowingly playing into their old sound and enjoying it.

Where are you pulling this crap from?

Just the whole comeback vibe they've got going on, I guess. :" But it's good if they can acknowledge that the stuff sounds dated. :)

They did say somewhere that they could see "Gold Cobra" rezzing nu-metal and making it a thing again. :* I'd say that's just a pipe dream, though.

lol @ all the people hating, even bigger lols at the ones with bands like Panic at the Disco in signatures...

Its a fun album, thats all it was ever supposed to be, the guitars are great, the bass is brilliant and the drums kickass, Freds got the same silly lyrics, but not all bands can change every part of their image/sound ala Linkin Park to fit in with the kiddies...

They have said all along they hope to keep the same sound they had, they know what it is, they know its outdated, and they don't care...

Don't like it, don't listen... Simples...

Loser is a great song, and Autotuneage is a fun parody song that is extremely catchy after a few listens...

If theres room for idiotic music like Hollywood Undead, then theres room for idiotic music like Limp Bizkit... (not hating HU, actually enjoy them in small doses)

Unfortunately for your Panic! argument, that band actually has very interesting and varied instrumentation and ALL the band members are talented. Vocalist included.

And I think I've made it fairly clear that I don't have a problem with the band in general except Fred Durst. Because we all know the rest of the band is capable of so much more. And that's where disappointment comes in.

Freds a great frontman, always has been, gets the crowd worked up etc, his lyrics are stupid, his rapping is questionable, but when he does sing/scream, it just works, and they are excellent live, the best band i've seen apart from maybe Pendulum, and i've seen absolutely tons, including PATD (not bad live, but not my thing) and Fallout Boy (horrendous)...

The fact that you're comparing Panic! to Fallout Boy tells me you haven't given the band a chance since their first album. Trust me, they are class acts. I had a chance to share a cigarette with Brenden after his show in Dallas and he's pretty chill. And the show Panic! puts on is pretty damn intense, I'm not gonna lie.

I've seen Limp Bizkit live. I was at Summer Sanitarium for the Live in Texas taping. Limp Bizkit leaves a lot to be desired. His singing is horrible, his raps are childish, and he's just a douche in general. He promoted the chaos that was Woodstock 1999, he's known for being late for no reason (when you're criticized by Scott Weiland of all people, something's wrong), and... honestly I can't find a reason to like the guy. My concert experience with him was less than desirable, and he doesn't impress me at all.
