In a recent interview on Billboard.com, Mike Shinoda announced that Linkin Park will be planning plenty of surprizes for their upcoming tour with P.O.D, Hoobastank and Story of the Year. Fans should be expecting some old material along with tracks from previous albums which Linkin Park have never played live before.

"I'm really excited about the tour, we're playing an all-new set and we've added some songs that people haven't heard us play live before and some songs we haven't played live in a long time. So, even though I know a lot of our fans are going to check out 'Live in Texas,' the set that we will be playing in January and February is longer, has more songs and it has a lot of stuff that people haven't heard..."

It is expected that "Breaking the Habit" will be played, considering LP first started playing the new single at the Smokeout Festival in mid-November. Linkin Park will then go overseas to Europe after the spring tour, followed by their third annual Projekt Revolution tour afterwards. Mike also revealed that new material is in the works and may be played at the concerts, although it's unlikely. Shinoda later says he can't foresee a new studio album coming out until Spring 2005 at the earliest.

All attendees should be in for a huge treat this upcoming tour, so be sure to check out Ticketmaster.com and LPUnderground.com for tickets!

    Maybe some new material already?

Other than BTH, Hit the Floor and Nobody's Listening, what else is there?

I just read the interview and Mike says that he doesn't expect a new studio set to hit the streets until early 2005 at the soonest.

It doesn't say around the spring of 2005

Mike said that Reanimation was just too much work for him, so another remix album is highly unlikely.

Mike said they are never doing another remix album as it was just too much work. They arent even sure if they'll be doing a DVD to tide the fans over till early 2005 or whenever the CD might be released.

Just be patient, I'm sure if its a completely new set-list we'll be hearing some songs we never expected to hear before.

Well, albums arent instant, and it DOES take people a while to come up with new ideas, especially while touring around the world. Dont rush them or theyll put out something crappy, and thats not what we want LP to do, do we? No, I didnt think so.

Why does the Meteora tour only happen in the US and Europe? But not Asia? I'm waiting for the band to come to my coumtry.
