No. I'm not a whiz, but this seems terrible. You can get a much better laptop for like 400 these days brand new.

What are you looking to do with a laptop? Games, papers, random internet stuff?

RAM and storage are the 2 main things I look at.

That was probably no help at all lol. Hopefully someone else chimes in.

It'd probably be ok then. The more RAM you have, the quicker it will be. I think I have an old laptop now with 256MB of RAM and I can't have more than a couple tabs open in Chrome without it getting really sluggish. I have a desktop that has 6GB of RAM and 1TB of storage that was only $500 and it does wonders. You get a much better deal out of desktops.

I'm assuming you're looking into an ARM netbook, in which case you can probably find that for even cheaper, maybe $100.

Oh ok, cos I wouldn't mind getting my partner one for when he goes to university and I just keep this crap machine. This machine has only 256 mb of RAM on it and I too get pissed off with it at times.

It has Windows CE - it's not even a real version of Windows and it won't run any of your applications. I wouldn't waste my money on that.

But can't I just upgrade it to Windows 7?

No, its an ARM CPU. Windows 7 won't run on it. It's not a standard laptop, its a PDA with a keyboard. Don't waste your money on it.
