This has been on my mind for the last few months and I was thinking what Linkin Park had an unplugged performance on MTV. I know that people would ask what Joe Hahn could do but he could play piano and play some of the samples live. I think it would be awesome hearing "Faint" on unplugged.

It could be nice, but then Joe & Mike are kind of useless...and also Chester's screams...

I agree with somewhat......as good as it would be to hear them on unplugged...i dont think it would happen. As we all know Linkin Park is a fusion, they like to use techno roots in their music, triggers, scartches etc. If they did do that show, only certain songs would be able to be performed, nothing with a trigger such as "Faint", and Joe would be practically useless as a DJ.As cool as it would be, the possibilities...are slim

I'm not sure... I mean it would feel "empty". But one song or two would be cool :D .

i think it would kick some big asses.

I mean.. Crawling only rocks everythings. And if its unplugged, it will rock more. And why would Mike be useless? He could rap, and Chester doesn't have to scream that hard like at concerts. If you had seen Nirvana Unplugged, the screaming was very different then the real songs, it was kinda screaming-whispering. So it could be, and i hope it :)

... The point of "unplugged" is so they don't scream.

And yeah, Joe and Mike would still be integral parts of the show. Joe can still scratch, and he still has to play keyboards.

And Mike can still rap and do his back up singing.

How exactly would they be useless?

I would love to hear a toned down version of their music.

Um..Linkin Park has maybe..four songs that would work unplugged. I don't think a dj is allowed in the whole unplugged thing..Jay-Z had an unplugged and they had some dude come in and imitate scratching.

It wouldn't matter. Joe would still have to be there for certain album sounds, and keyboards.

Maybe Chester could do the "wonderful" cover by Stone Temple Pilots again.. Well I think Numb would be great unplugged. Joe and Mike could play the keyboards together, or fight over it..

Chester never covered Wonderful. He sang it WITH STP at the Family Values Tour.

    -----------------------

I've heard an acoustic version of Pushing Me Away, Joe did play the samples he normally does play, but Brad used an acoustic guitar and Phoenix used a stand-up bass. They didnt have 2 guitars either.

Well, Unplugged shows are often more relaxed, easy-going shows...
I just don't think that it will fit in...
