I'm curious on how you guys think of that EP. I saw alot of hate about it on youtube. But I'm not sure here. Do you love it? hate it? mehh? eeh?
I loved it, I remember there was a shitstorm when it came out (as with every other thing Linkin Park does) and it's sort of regarded as some stupid little project years later, but it's very well put together. From personal experience, rap fans not very familiar with Linkin Park enjoyed it way more than Linkin Park fans.
I like Jay-Z's flow better over simple rock music. Plus they seemed to have taken it very seriously and learned something from it, which was a nice experience.
it turned out better than expected, I listened to it a lot when it came out, haven't listened to it all for awhile. I really loved that Grammy performance of Numb/Encore/Yesterday.
I thought Lying From You/Dirt Off Your Shoulder worked great. Big Pimpin/Papercut I didn't really like... Maybe it's because I don't like Big Pimpin alot. Jigga What/Faint was fantastic. Great mix up there. Numb/Encore was really really good. Izzo/In the End didn't really work for me. Points Of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer all worked out phenomenally together. overall, 8/10-Which still isn't terrible, in my book.
I loved it. I just felt they matched to two genres really well and its impressed a lot of people. And the Grammys performance....Amazing. I actually was listening to it today.
I meant to say that I didn't think it was terrible. It was basically a reply to the people who were saying how they wished it never happened. Bad choice of words I guess... I liked the ep alot. hence the 8/10. again, I guess I should have chosen better words...
I loved it except for big pimpin/papercut and izzo/ite. Jigga what/faint is in my top 10 linkin park songs. No joke.
