I disagree. If anything, Corey's not getting much of a say at all at the moment. It's quite clear he's uncomfortable with playing these festival shows in the summer which is entirely understandable. It hasn't even been a year since Paul's death so if he feels he needs some time to revise his status in Slipknot then I think he's entitled to. At the end of the day, Slipknot needs Corey more than he needs them. Corey has many projects he can fall back on (Stone Sour, Junk Beer Kidnap Band, possibly Velvet Revolver etc.) whereas I think the rest of Slipknot would find it difficult to find a frontman like him again.

It's as he said in the interview; Stone Sour is in no way a side project of his. If anything, Slipknot is the side project. I hope Slipknot sticks around, I really do, but I could certainly see them announcing their split in the near future. The departure of a band member is one thing, but the death of a band member is certainly enough to destroy a band, even one as mammoth in stature like Slipknot.

Yeah i think you're right I actually hate every interview with Corey about Slipknot. Because right now he sounds like he dont like the band, and never had like when he said he never have felt connected to the band and that fucking hurts in a Maggots heart. But IMO, if he stops with Slipknot then i think that he disappoint Paul, because paul like Joey said did'nt want Slipknot to stop, and i think thats the right thing because after all Joey and Paul was best freinds, But i dont think they are going to stop, but a new album, Right now i really dont think so. In a way i think that it is ok if it takes some years to make a new album because i dont think the Slipknot camp is really great right now and as you say if Corey leave then they cant find a frontman like him, and without Paul and Corey it isint slipknot. I just hope they continue like Metallica did. They just need to make the shows and see what is going to happen.

    I agree with Luke wholeheartedly.

In all honesty, I wouldn't mind if the band splits without a follow-up to All Hope is Gone. It would be in no-means a 'slap to the face' towards the fans, only those devoid of human emotion and full of ignorance would bitch and whine. Furthermore, being in the realm of Slipknot is a lot to take, and it'd really be hard to get into that state or trance that the band usually adheres to when donning the masks. With Paul's departure, the whole ordeal would presumably feel a little hokey at this point for several of the band-members.
