I think Joe or Mike use some MIDI stuff for the really deep, prominent percussion in the intro, and Chester and Brad play their set of drums that are really turned down that you can barely hear. Then Brad is also playing. It's definitely a team effort.

I wonder if Joe was actually hitting the Midi stuff you mentioned, as seen on the start of the video

Yeah, I don't know. I commented before I watched the video. There's so much stuff going on that it's hard to really tell who's doing what and if everything is even being played by everyone.

I second the motion btw that there should be a live DVD some time in the near future comprising of ATS songs.

A total pussy. But TAKES ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE ANDAHMABOUTABREAK's fucking poetry, and it's a shame they can't go back to such brilliance.

If they put out live DVD for MSG that would be awesome, the venue looks cool and big.

Haha oh dear. You would think it'd be the other way round, considering now they probably write more songs about actually overcoming problems, whereas at times a lot of their earlier lyrics just seem to be about wallowing in angst.

Then again reason kind of goes out the window in these cases.

I mean, Minutes to Midnight I could kind of understand; in between, Valentines Day, etc. The ATS stuff isn't great by any means, but I really can't see anything resembling "kiddie wrist slit" lyircs anywhere, especially after most of Hybrid Theory and almost all of Meteora.

It's like dude didn't even think before he typed that, just hated the album, figured "derp derp EMO IS TEH SUCKS" and just went with it without realizing how ironic it was. Like when you read YouTube comments, and see where kids keep crying about how Linkin Park "sold out" by not making radio rock and doing weird shit. Because Linkin Park weren't mainstream at all during the In The End glory days.

One thing I liked about this performance is they drowned out brads mega phone ending.. it just came out sounding weird on the dsp.. would of rather just heard chester.

That was Brillaint! So badass live, especially the ending. I just wish Brad yelled throught the megaphone a little better. The best one was on one of the 1st performances where he yell and reeally draws out the last word:

"Todas las personas! presta atención! Escúchame ahora MISIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

    Then chester comes in with:
    "AAAAAAAAAAAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

    so insane!

the opening drums are played by rob on electro drums. mike and hahn are sampling that synthesizer from the intro. i believe chester and brad are actually performing the drums and its not as quiet because robs playing a lot of electro drums
