what exactly is mike saying after first verse...does sound like gibberish lyrics ...abt after 46 seconds... does sound like words said backwards..???..like in a pushing me away re-animation ???
rick told them they should make the songs faster, amnd so they did that to make the sound of the lyrics which they would later finish writing or am i wrong?
That was actually something LP started doing themselves. During A Thousand Suns, Rick told the band he preferred they didn't do that.
While they were making "Minutes To Midnight", Rick suggested to the band that, for whatever song idea they had, they should put vox on it as soon as possible; that way, they could judge the song right away and decide more easily if it was worth fleshing out more. Because Shinoda and Chester couldn't come up with lyrics immediately, sometimes, they just put a melody down by scat. While they made "A Thousand Suns", Shinoda and Chester had trouble coming up with lyrics for some of the songs (most notably "Blackout") so Rick suggested they just get behind a mic and say whatever until they were inspired.
Well, the way they handled it with "Meteora" (and presumably everything before that) was, every seed would start with Shinoda or Brad, be developed by the rest of the band ... and Shinoda and Chester would pull out lyrics they had written and rework them to fit the music. One of the first steps they took to do things differently for "Midnight" was to have all the guys in the band start seeds as part of the writing process, which would allow for more diversity in the initial song ideas, and allow everyone to have a hand in everything. Thus, they had things like the whole band (and Rick) critiquing lyrics and stuff.
