I wrote this song slowly over the course of my last relationship. I started it when I met her and finished it about a week before breaking up. Irony. Heres a demo. http://soundcloud.com/nickberlin/next-to-you-demo lyrics: I woke up with you in my head, you and all the words we said No one ever meant so much. Remember when we would sit and watch lord of the rings? And you'd laugh at the things, that I would say. Well please just smile today You give me so much more than I could ever take I won't say goodbye, no, not this time I will stay around for you So don't you close your eyes, everything's gonna be alright as long as you, allow them to when i'm next to you. So tell yourself we'll be okay and i'll call you lovely, every day of the week and this is what I mean.. when I say that you're beautiful; when I say that you're wonderful; this is my last call. So please just smile today we'll leave the past in yesterday. I won't say goodbye, no, not this time (I won't say goodbye) I will stay around for you(No not, this time) So don't you close your eyes, (I won't fall behind.) everything's gonna be alright as long as you, (I will find you someday.) allow them to when i'm next to you.
The chorus is absolutely beautiful. Your voice meshes incredibly well with the music. Great work, man! I'm excited to hear more
Thanks guys. Im redoing the first verse because that take keeps bugging me, I can do better but I just couldn't get it how I wanted so I settled for less. (Don't do that.)
I love the lyrics and flow of the song. Keep the lyrics as is! Suggestions: Perhaps a piano version of the song would tickle the fancy's of others even more. Add some drums and violin samples right before the end.
