Been meaning to get into these guys for years now, this album having most of the songs I know by them. Went for the double disc deluxe edition, since that was the tracklisting that was intended to be released. For whatever reason, the label wanted them to release a condensed 1 disc version too.
In Hearts Wake - Earthwalker & Skydancer Both digitally! One of my favourites at the moment and it's another Aussie band! I don't know what's going on over there, but it seems Metal/Hardcore is in their genes. Parkway Drive, Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Polaris, Make Them Suffer, I Killed The Prom Queen, For All Eternity, Aversions Crown, Signal The Firing Squad (they sadly broke up a few years ago), etc. ..., just to name a few.
Boris - Pink Street Fighter II: Animated OST Both on cd. Was gonna get Boris on vinyl but it was about 45 dollars
I went on an MF Doom spending spree yesterday morning. Ended up spending $92 Madvilliany Unexpected Guests Mm.. Food (+DVD) Keys to the Kuffs Mouse & The Mask (Metalface Edition) Take Me to Your Leader Born Like This And I'll be getting the Operation Doomsday boxset that comes with the lunch box on Friday.
I bought some albums days ago: Linkin Park - One More Light Live Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal Avril Lavigne -Self-Titled NIghtwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare Unfortunately my Sempiternal jewel case is broken, but the record still works and the lyrics are there, but I'm thinking of getting another copy of it in the future.
My haul over the past week or so. Alice in Chains - Facelift Alice in Chains - Dirt Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies Alice in Chains - Alice in Chains Alice in Chains - MTV Unplugged Mad Season - Above Stone Temple Pilots - Core Coldplay - Talk About a week or two ago, my interest reignited for Alice in Chains, a band I was really into in high school. I now have all their main releases save for Sap. Also got Mad Season's Above, a band formed by Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, members of Pearl Jam, and others. There were really unique in that there were a grunge band very much influenced by the blues. Great stuff. Got Stone Temple Pilots' debut since it was only 4 bucks. The one I am most excited about buying was the Coldplay single release for Talk. On Australian, Canadian, and Japanese releases of the single, "Gravity" served as one of the b-sides. which is one of my all time favorite Coldplay songs, and is so highly underrated. I was ecstatic when I saw this at the CD store I went to. Whoever originally bought it must have imported it. They had other Coldplay singles too, but not ones I was as interested in.
Masaharu Iwata and Hitoshi Sakimoto - Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Shiro Sagisu - Evangelion 1.0 Shiro Sagisu - Shin Godzilla Two movie soundtracks and one video game soundtrack. All bought on iTunes.
Miss May I - Apologies Are For The Weak Miss May I - At Heart Void Of Vision - Broken // Bones EP Fit For A King - Deathgrip All of them digitally!
Alice in Chains - Sap Dream Theater - Live Scenes from New York What's neat about this edition of the Dream Theater live record is that it's a bit harder to get. As seen on the cover, there's the logo of an apple on fire, with New York put in there because the album was recorded live in New York. As it so happens, this album with a cover of New York on fire released on September 11, 2001, so the edition was immediatly recalled for obvious reasons. What a coincidence, huh? They were reissued with a new cover, so this right here is something of a collector's item.
Technically I bought this back in November, but it just came in. Thrice’s “The Alchemy Index.” These were put up for sale on Black Friday last November, but the distributor put them up for sale earlier than they were supposed to, so Thrice thankfully decided to do a second pressing so that everyone who wanted one could get one. As can be seen, the packaging is absolutely SUPERB, bound in book form. What’s so cool is that is a quadruple ep, with the sound and style of each ep corresponding to an element (fire, water, air, earth). Each ep with this vinyl set has a colored vinyl record for its element!
