New single "It's Not the End of the World But I Can See It From Here" streaming tonight on Zane Lowe. Single hits in October but as far as I know, the album is still in January. Bah. Still, I'm curious.
i heard the live version once about a year ago and since then the chorus stuck in my head. song sounds good and keeps my anticipation for the album up.
First thoughts - I think I like it more than the new Dead By Sunrise song. January 10 is a ways away, man.
What happened to this supposedly really heavy album they were making? Why do so many bands lie about their sound these days? *sighs*
It's not bad. I'll get used to it. But then again, Lostprophets (like Funeral for a Friend) have never disappointed me.
This is just one song, in fairness. They might have gone back on what they said somewhat, but I think the closest they came to saying it would be a "really heavy" album was almost three years ago now anyway. If Weapon is anything to go by I'd rather they didn't make a "heavy" album anyway haha.
For all of you who are waiting for some 'old school' or heavy stuff, just check this new song they played yesterday : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy0C4A9feoU (almost complete, not very good quality) Two short videos of the same song in slightly better quality : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmOGKDeZdYY and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uHodoU2n9E I think it sounds great !
I'm sorry for double posting, but I found a live video with decent quality with the full new song called (apparently) 'Destroyer' : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0t-tpp1k0w&fmt=18 Enjoy it
I like it better than the single. There's a couple parts in there that remind me of older Lostprophets stuff, I like it.
