    Corey Taylor is a hypocrite. He came to defense of LP fans after the comments Chester made.

    How could anyone defend the sellout band LP has become? Corey Taylor needs to listen to REAL music.

    Well, everyone has his/her opinion and opinions are not right or wrong, it's just what people think and a fuel for the discussion of topics. As to this one and any other regarding LP and the way they sound now, it's true that they tried to go for the big money on this record by shifting to pop, there's no denying that, but I don't see it as a sellout because it sounds good and the songs connect with people in a way most of pop songs don't, most of those are just songs with very catchy lyrics to make people sing them and nothing else, no real message is conveyed.

    Why is he a hypocrite? Just because he was never on a particular side and can understand both opinios (just doesn't necessarily agree with any.

    Well, Corey said that at least LP risked a lot on this record, even though the band knew fans couldn´t like the direction they took on this one and LP succeeded in that, not in terms of sales unfortunately, but getting another number one album was very good. He also said the band must be happy about the fanbase the have, but that I can´t agree with, as most of the fanbase is too harsh on them.

    I'm pretty sure Corey explicitly said he supported how strongly Chester felt about the new material as he was telling him to relax it with the outbursts. That he was defensive about the music wasn't his problem, the way he went about expressing it was what Corey was telling him to tone down. The comment even references it;
