Originally intended to be released around June, it appears that the re-release of "...No Sun Today" may never see the light of day. Reliable sources state that the CD is in fact finished but, conflicts with lawyers within Linkin Park's label Warner Brothers are prohibiting the CD from being released.

Sean Dowdell had this to say when being questioned about the CD.

"Yes it is finished. Funny thing [is] Chester's label apparently doesn't want the cd out so they are putting a hold on it. It should have been out months ago but his lawyers held everything up. I don't know if they are going to let us put it out."

Danny Goldberg, the head of Artemis Records; couldn't provide a release date either when being questioned, instead he stated:

"[We] still dont have a deal, you can check [the] Artemisrecords.com site from time to time where it will be announced if we get it done, its out of our control."

If problems like the ones stated above continue, it is possible that this cd may never see the light of day. However; the LPA will be sure to keep you updated as more information surfaces on the Grey Daze re-release.

Meanwhile, to check out the transcript of the chat LPA had with Sean all the way back on April 15th if you haven't already, click here.

no. it doesnt matter. what money they would make would be small compared to how many people have already downloaded the cds.

edit: i just realized how clever the thread title is :D

What's the point of prohibiting a re-release? All the songs are available for download on Pushmeaway.com anyway and anyone who's got a CD burner can burn it onto a blank CD...and hey, presto. I still want to buy the original though and Warner Bro are pissing me off

Sometimes you just wanna buy the original to appreciate it more or something.

Why'd you buy Linkin Park's CDs?

The songs are all remastered. So they will sound much better if the re-release is ever released.

    That sounded kinda weird.
