My favorites have to be Crawling - I just love this so much more than the album version. The lyrics are better, and the music, though less "professionally" mixed and not as heavy, it sounds like it's supposed to be that way. I feel like the album version not only took away the feeling that Mike gave it but took away a lot of the feeling from the song in general. Although I do love the video. Robot Boy - I sometimes think I like this one better than the original as well. Esaul - Mike's flow on this is way cooler and way more complex than on A Place For My head imo.
>Part of Me >Slip >Stick 'n' Move >Fuse >Coal >She Couldn't >Pictureboard Pictureboard is definitely my favourite. So incredibly deep and moving!
She Couldn't is my favorite demo. I wish they had fully produced that song and included it as a bonus track like High Voltage was.
Definitely Pictureboard. Ah, ninja'd by someone who loves dairy products. No wonder VIP's don't post in random threads anymore
Pictureboard might be my favorite one of ALL LP songs. The lyrics are so deep. Sometimes when I'm bored I just write them down and stare at them. It's a magical feeling. Really emotional. You should try it too. Besides of that I like Points and Authority - IMO much better than than the album version. Also: So Far Away, SuperXero, What We Don't Know, Pale...
I've gotta say I went on a 6 hour road trip and played every studio Linkin Park track from HTEP until now and after all was said and done the only song I had stuck in my head was She Couldn't... It's not even a good song in my opinion but it's just so radically different from everything the band has done. I get it stuck out like a sore thumb. My favourite demo would have to be Across the Line. It serves as a perfect bridge between the band's old nu-metal sound and their newer alternative sound.
I have always loved ''What We Don't Know'' ever since the first time I heard it. Such an amazing, beautiful song. I can see why it wasn't included on MTM, but it's probably my favorite demo of all.
Probably "Across the Line". Like Faint into Pieces said, it's a perfect bridge between the "old" and "new" style. If exists another songs with this description, I want hear them, NOW! But I like of others like "Carousel" from 8-Track CD; Halo; Pepper; Homecoming (why these ones don't have lyrics?... ); Pale; Slip; A.06; Fear...
I'm not entirely sure if you're serious with two posts to your name (No offence intended). Bottom line is, the only people to have that track is the members of LP and those associated with them, like Adam. It also has a sample from another artist's work, so it won't be released anytime in the near future in it's original form unless it's leaked by the band themselves. It was mentioned once by Mike in 2005 and everyone has been clamouring for it since, but it does exist.
1. no roads left 2. part of me 3. carousel 4. slip 5. yo 6. across the line 7. pretend to be i have never been so into demos of other bands with the exception of lp
