I can't sing their praises enough. Tubelord are fucking amazing. Massively obscure band from Kingston, in the UK - essentially a "funner" version of Biffy Clyro. They're "math rock" / progressive, and have really beautiful harmonies. They take you through several different emotions and stages of music within one song and pull it off effortlessly. I just wish I had someone I could talk to about them... no-one seems to know who they are. You can listen to all of their stuff and download their early EP's for free on their bandcamp page: http://asktubelord.bandcamp.com/ Recommended tracks (click track title and be taken to a streaming page to listen): Obstacles Night Of The Pencils I Am Azerrad Somewhere Out There A Dog Is On Fire Bazel (from their latest EP, crazy vocal overlaps at the end) Do yourself a favour and have a listen... they're brilliant.
I've definitely heard OF them but I'd never actually heard their music before now. I'm listening to Obstacles at the moment and it's not bad.
Tubelord? LOL. I think they could've gone with a better name. I'm digging the compositions/melodies but the vocalist sounds like he hasn't hit puberty yet. Too whiny for my taste.
Fair enough, Agent O - the vocals aren't for everybody. They did an acoustic version of their debut album (it's called For The Grandparents, heh heh) and the vocalist sings a lot deeper for a majority of it, maybe give that a shot if you're up for it. It's on their bandcamp page.
