From the creators of The Sims comes Spore! Anyone played it yet? I've only played the demo version of it and I found it awesome. I'm considering buying it as I've been told the full version is real addictive but repetitive. But the shops are charging full price ($100) here because it's a new release and all. Just asking if anyone on here has played it yet and what do you think of it and would you recommend it?
The only way I even considered buying this piece of shit was illegally, off the internet. And even then I don't think it's worth the harddrive space. It crashes after the cell stage, and I'm not the only one that has that problem apparently. It's basically a point and click evolutionary adventure, where you can create fucked up Pokemon.
I think it's an amazing game. I've had no problems with it at all. My only gripe is the game becomes very, very boring when you've got to play the first two stages over and over again because you're too dumb to save the game every once in a while. I still haven't been able to play to the Tribal stage because I keep forgetting to save the game when I close it (and since I run it in windowed mode, I generally just click the X in the corner). Oh, well, I'll get the hang of it. I think it's really, really fun.
I absolutely love it. I'm on Space stage now and I love going to different planets and zapping creatures and abducting them haha. I've become so hooked on it. I have 7 planets going at one time right now, just because I like to start over and create different stuff. I even have a planet where one of my civilizations is dedicated to the Mushroom Kingdom and I have Koopas all over the place. I can't wait until the Wii version comes out. One thing though: They should add an online play so you could visit other peoples planets.
I'm a huge fan of Will Wright's games, spent more than I should have on The Sims, The Sims 2 and so many expansions... and as excited, as I was to play this game, I'm not going to until EA removes the ridiculous DRM from the game's installation process. Three installs ever? Give me a break. I'd love to play this game but I'm not going to allow a company to install malware onto my computer to do so. But at the same time I'm not going to be a dick and pirate it in spite. Then again, if they bring it to the consoles, I'll buy it.
