I think it's s##t. I may sound hypocritical for saying this (because I watch it sometimes) but MOST of it is pure trash and cheap entertainment for people too stupid and bone idle to watch anything else. I think corporations these days like MTV are just so obsessed with money and materialism; look at some of the shows they put out: "Rich Girls", "The Fabulous Life Of..", "Cribs", etc. And then there are those crappy music shows taking over our TV screens: Fame Academy, Pop Idol, Pop Stars, American Idol, World Idol...generally a bunch of talentless nobodies trying to hog the limelight and grab 15 minutes of fame. "Big Brother" plain sucked. "Shattered" sucks even more. Making people starve for seven days is not what I'd call entertainment. "The Osbourne" tends to be a bit less annoying but at the end of the day, the money goes to a family that is already super rich so I don't see the point in that either.
None of them can even be classified as "reality." Those shows aren't real. They're all scripted. I mean, come on... who here has been shipped to an island to live off the land for 12 weeks? That's right, no one. The only reality show EVER is the news and Cops.
I think reality shows are stupid... As Will said, they aren't 'reality'... Eg. Big Brother, have you been locked in a house with no TV and then had to do things and complete tasks for 'special' treats :wth:
I absolutely hate reality T.V. I see them as a bunch of desperate people just trying to get on T.V and look good. I see them also as complete fake programmes to fill up schedules and get really sad people to get ratings up. God i hate them. My mate watches them all the time and records the live feeds .
I'm sure afterwards those people feel like a puppet, or a science project then used for entertainment. Ever been to those science fairs in elementary school and have your parents or grandparents come in and say how "cute" it was? Yeah, that's agony.
Reality TV is great..... ....if you're a talentless nobody who's so greedy for fame, you'd do anything and everything to get 15 minutes of it or you're a rich hollywood chick who goes to live in Arkansas for awhile to get people's minds off your leaked sex tape

Reality TV is the worst thing ever. Take : 200ml of people who don't mind to be exploited 50ml of greedy producers who have no show idea 10ml of stupid subject 2000000000ml of people who've got nothing more to do than to watch this And what do you get...? Money. Big time. And why there are more and more of these shows? Look above, + people still have nothing more to do.
I love Jackass. Does that count as reality tv since they're hurting themselves for real? If so, then that's the only reality tv I like.
I laughed, hysterically, when I saw Survivor commercials pop up for the first time. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. ...Now I think it'll be America's demise.
I agree, reality TV is garbage. The worst ones are those Joe Millionaire/The Bachelor shows...UGHHH...I can't stand that s***!
Usually what happens in such show is that the couple brakes up after, like, 3 months and every one taking part in the show suffers from a depression after. And I wouldn't like to be bashed like the people at American Idol's auditions . That sure is humiliating.
I know! That's why I find it soooooo pointless...lol, don't even get me started, I could go on for AGES... Yeah, being an American Idol contestant would be tough...especially for me, I'm the worst singer ever! The only part that is amusing from time to time on American Idol are Simon's comments...heh heh... I hate to say it, I kind of like Survivor...
My mom watches reality shows, makes fun of all the people on them, and gets a good laugh. I think she's handling it the right way. (I saw one episode of The Bachelor. Sometimes the way girls are supposed to act makes me wish I weren't a girl.)

OKie dokie, I'm not gonna lie. 1. Yes I find it amusing to see people starved for 7 days. 2. I find it amusing to watch people have to eat cow brains or be in a tub of squid and see a girl scream(fear factor) 3. I like watching a bunch of guys beat the #### outta each other (jackass) 4. I like watching one of the coolest people in the world play pranks on a bunch of b*tchass pop/movie stars (Punk'd) 5. I like watching another one of the coolest people in the world being a total ####### to his family but in the end gettin his dad a ######' landstalker or whatever it was (Viva La Bam) 6. I like watchin couples go and 'rough it out' with a bunch of hot chicks and 'hot' guys....it must be so hard....i know i would be(temptation island) **And just to note, Ive never seen it but My big fat obnoxious fiance is probably hilarious and i wanna see it.... Now #### like Paris Hilton's new show or the ######' 'Rich Girls'...that stuff is the stupidest load of horse cow poo ive ever seen. the only thing good about it, is that its easy to get off on it....haha And the bachelor or whatever and the bacholeratee...yeh thats stupid... and cops....thats stupid to.
